Tom is an entrepreneurial executive whose career has been shaped by his work at leading service firms where a strong commitment to profit was coupled with a shared culture and set of professional values. During his tenure at Bain & Company, Tom became an expert in analyzing businesses and identifying strategic opportunities for increasing revenues, profit margins and shareholder value. Over the next decade, he held top management positions where he demonstrated his ability to successfully implement strategies for growth and innovation.

Tom knows his way around a P&L, having managed multi-location businesses and has over 20 years experience as a senior executive leading, building, and improving the profitability of companies in fast-paced, highly competitive global environments.

As Foley Hoag's Chief Operating Officer, Tom has played a key part in designing and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the firm's profits while expertly controlling costs. Working closely with the Firm's Executive Committee and Managing Partners, he has taken the lead in developing policies and procedures that streamline operations, improve workflow and facilitate sound business growth and objectives. Tom has oversight of all business operations both within the U.S. and abroad including Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, and Facilities. Under his leadership, the Directors and staff create and maintain the infrastructure required for the timely and efficient delivery of top quality legal services.

Prior to joining Foley Hoag in 2003, Tom served as the President and COO of IF!, a late stage digital media company with five locations throughout the U.S. and as the COO at Ingalls, Quinn, & Johnson a full service marketing agency where he expanded both service offerings and product lines. Tom began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company leading multiple projects for clients in business services, healthcare, manufacturing, defense and technology sectors.
