Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Manager of Strategic Financial Arrangements to join our Practice & Pricing Analytics team. The Manager will support the firm's largest clients through evaluating pricing arrangements, billing setups, profitability, and client budgets along with monitoring inventory levels. This position will directly support several of these relationships and will also manage a team of financial analysts supporting the function. This position also oversees a financial analyst responsible for analysis of practice efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Manage the team that supports top institutional and large complex client relationships for the firm with regards to financial data and metrics
* Provide financial support to firm leadership for clients involved with sector cross-selling
* Work with principal billing partner to set pricing arrangements that are acceptable to the firm; understand when pricing is up for renewal and proactively approach principal billing partner well in advance to set the stage for pricing renewal
* Track, monitor and work with principal billing partner on overall profitability levers for assigned clients
* Work with principal billing partner to identify optimal staffing options and leverage
* Work through complex billing set ups with the biller to ensure understanding of the complexity
* Collaborate with Billing & Collections team and management on inventory that is aging to maximize realization
* Identify operational issues to department leadership and provide recommendations for process improvements
* Assist with implementation of new processes and procedures
* Understand and have a grasp on the current and upcoming major matters regarding pricing, profitability, status (e.g., going to trial, M&A closing), and key timekeepers
* Develop the team to have a consistent approach and report to client analysis
* Manage assigned projects with complex and/or unusual requirements
* Act as a positive role model for all staff, in a manner consistent with the firm's core values
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's Degree or CPA preferred
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, finance, or pricing, including advanced level financial analysis responsibilities required
* Prior law firm or professional services firm experience required
* Prior people management or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
* Must possess strong presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, influence stakeholders, and represent the organization effectively in high-visibility settings
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, databases, and MS Office #LI-Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Director of Practice Innovation to lead our firmwide efforts in identifying, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that transform how our lawyers deliver legal services. Responsibilities
Strategic AI Use Case Identification & Implementation:

* Assist with mapping legal workflows, harnessing practice data and expertise, analyzing processes, and evaluating how to apply AI-enabled solutions and enhance client service in an ethical and legally compliant manner
* Help design, develop, test, and deploy AI prompts and workflows, working closely with attorneys to develop consistent and scalable best practices
* Collaborate with the technology team and legal technology vendors to leverage appropriate AI tools to address identified use cases and effectively implement AI across practices
* Stay informed of emerging trends in generative AI and legal tech to identify, evaluate and advocate for innovative AI-based legal technology solutions that improve client service delivery
Collaboration & Solution Deployment:
* Act as the primary liaison between the firm's legal practices and the technology and professional development teams for AI-related initiatives

* Lead pilots, proofs-of-concept, and full-scale rollouts of AI tools within practice groups

Education, Adoption & Change Management:
* Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, one-on-one education opportunities, and reference materials that empower attorneys to use AI tools effectively
* Collaborate with the professional development team and practice training leaders to incorporate AI-related education and programming in existing training programs
* Champion adoption by developing success stories, internal marketing campaigns, and demonstrating measurable wins
* Build and leverage a network of internal AI "power users" and innovation champions within practice groups
* Objectively evaluate potential new technologies and manage expectations as appropriate
* Communicate the value of and the firm's use of AI to clients
Measurement, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
* Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for AI initiatives
* Identify opportunities for improvement and rapidly implement corrective actions when needed
* Gather user feedback, usage analytics, and client impact data to refine solutions and guide ongoing development and deployment
* Prepare regular reports for firm leadership highlighting progress, ROI, client impact, and future opportunities and resources needed to advance the Firm's AI and legal innovation strategy
* Collaborate with legal department leadership and practice and pricing analytics teams on pricing models and alternative fee arrangements that reflect AI-enabled efficiencies
Qualifications
* JD required
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing lawyer in a large law firm and/or corporate legal department required. AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred
* Demonstrated understanding of law firm practice workflows, client service priorities, and legal technology trends, with emphasis on Gen AI models and tools
* Proven experience with legal AI solutions, including prompt engineering, process design, document automation, data analytics, and/or workflow automation in the legal context
* Experience leading change management initiatives involving innovative technology adoption in a legal environment

The Office Administrator manages the day-to-day operations, facilities and secretarial support for their designated office. This position enforces policies and procedures related to office management and human resources matters. * Regular communications with clients, case teams, and vendors to define and manage matter goals, action items, and timelines;
* Identification, collection, and tracking of documents, data, and other key information from client systems through production;
* Supporting and documenting discussions and action items with client inhouse legal teams, IT teams and employees;

* Coordinating development and tracking of matter fees estimates and budgets.

The Compliance Attorney coordinates the Firm's identification of and compliance with various legal, regulatory, and contractual duties. The Compliance Attorney works under minimal supervision and relies on detailed instructions to plan and accomplish goals.

This role involves managing indirect tax obligations, maintaining accurate fixed asset records, and ensuring timely filing of state and federal tax documents. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in all tax-related matters.
Responsibilities
* Assist with Indirect Tax compliance including Sales and Use tax, Personal Property taxes, and Tangible Property Lease taxes
* Maintain firm's fixed asset records using Sage Fixed Asset software. Requires routine coordination with procurement teams to properly code fixed asset additions and disposals for multiple offices.
* Prepare supporting workpapers for expense deductibility on Federal tax return including charitable contributions, gifts, lobbying, etc.
* File various state compliance documents including LLP Renewals and Business Tax Registrations
* Prepare & file State Tax return extensions and estimated payments timely & accurately
* Prepare & file Indirect Tax payments timely & accurately
* Maintain tax department calendar and tax inbox
* Maintain accurate records of tax filings and related documentation for audit and compliance purposes
* Provide support with various audits and special tax related projects
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related filed required
* One (1) year of tax accounting experience preferred
* Tax experience in individual and partnership tax knowledge preferred
* Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state tax regulations
* Prior experience with Sage Fixed Asset software is preferred
* Advanced proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
