The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Southeastern Veterans' Center is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to provide veterans and their spouses top-notch service in our long-term care facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Food Service Worker, you will perform routine meal preparation and ensure the sanitation of work and serving areas at Southeastern Veterans' Center. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items. You will also prepare trays, measure portions, serve food, and transport trays and carts. This position requires frequent use of common kitchen equipment, such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders. In addition, you will complete inventory sheets, record resident meal counts, and help decorate the dining area with holiday themes. Work Schedule and Additional Information: * Part-time employment, 40 hours bi-weekly * Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends. * Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. * Hourly Rate: In some cases, the starting hourly rate may be non-negotiable. * You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
