Under general supervision, conversion crew members perform work as needed to maintain and prepare events at the facilities, including efficient changeovers between events. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for working with a team to convert and prepare facilities for events.
Assist with event setups, changeovers, and operational tasks as directed by the manager and supervisor which may include tables, flooring, risers and portable seating, etc. are completed in a first class and efficient manner.
Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment such as seating, risers, dressing room furniture, and miscellaneous other
Assist during event responding to radio requests for set up, removal, and/or repair of risers and department equipment.
Works with other in-house staff to ensure production requirements are met and promoter/client requests are fully executed.
Contributes to the team dynamic by assisting coworkers, maintaining the facilities' cleanliness and helping to develop and maintain a positive work environment.
Physical work/heavy lifting is common and required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Forklift certification preferred.
Trades experience (e.g., carpentry, construction labor, maintenance)
Qualifications
Knowledge of staging and production equipment desired.
A minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience
Working knowledge of facility operations, changeovers and setups
Ability to meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced setting
Ability to lift/push/pull or otherwise move 30 lbs. unassisted
Able to communicate effectively in English
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
Other Qualifications
Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to heights, elevators, darkened areas, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.
Continuous standing and walking, including up and down stairs.
