Job Responsibilities
Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions

Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

THE ROLE
The Culinary FoodPrep is responsible for providing quick, efficient, and high-quality culinary support in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role contributes directly to the overall guest experience by preparing ingredients, maintaining strict sanitation standards, and supporting the culinary team in the execution of fine dining service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow assignments from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor for opening, closing, and daily preparation tasks
Preparefood items in accordance with portion control, quality standards, and departmental policies and procedures
Ensure that all preparedfood is cooked and held at proper temperatures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Always maintain a clean and organized workstation, including shelves, walls, floors, and drains
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements as established by company policy and local health codes
Handle, clean, and store kitchen equipment safely and properly to prevent damage or injury

QUALIFICATIONS

MFG is hiring experienced Prep Cooks with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the head chef by chopping vegetables and washing food items
Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are ready for use
Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
Prepare salads, breads, salad dressings and sauces
Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chef
Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
Study the menu and prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
Learn about the cooking methods and techniques employed in the kitchen
REQUIREMENTS:
Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
Team-orientated and positive attitude
Strong communication skills a must
