My Green Lunch is looking for self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Prep Cook. You will work with a great team, in a Family feeling environment. Prep cooks perform cold and hot food prep, including the cutting of fruits, vegetables, and meat. Portioning and packaging of meals that meet the expectations and quality required of My Green Lunch. This position will primarily be focused on working with our hot prep team portioning meals and sealing meals with a focus on details of each meal. This position requires 3:30 AM start time, as well as a Sunday shift as assigned by the Kitchen Manager. Ability to arrive on time and reliability is extremely important. Essential Responsibilities/Requirements: * Must have at least 6 months of fast paced restaurant or catering experience. * Have a strong attention to detail & use time efficiently. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to work efficiently and independently is important for this position. * Need to measure precisely and follow specific detailed instructions in order to assure standardized meals. * Knowledge of and ability to use kitchen equipment and general cleaning materials. * Have basic food preparation practices and the ability to learn the methods and procedures of large-scale lunch production. * Ability to lift 50 lbs * Have a Food Handlers Certificate or be willing to get one in a timely manner upon starting work. * Knowledge of both Spanish and English is helpful, but not required. * Cross training in all aspects of the kitchen will be provided. * Perform other duties as assigned.
