A food runner, is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables promptly and accurately. The role functions as a link between the kitchen, waitstaff, and guests, ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout operations Required Skills and Requisites: Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for the duration of a full-shift. Teamwork-oriented Positive outlook and outgoing personality Responsibilities and Duties: Deliver food orders to tables in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring the correct dish reaches the right customer and maintaining the quality and presentation of each meal. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure prompt communication about orders, special requests, dietary needs, and order modifications. Set up and prepare tables for guests by placing appropriate dishes, utensils, glassware, napkins, and decorations as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by assisting with clearing and resetting tables, removing dirty dishes, and keeping server alleys and expo areas organized. Communicate order status and any special requests to kitchen staff, and relay customer feedback or complaints to management to help maintain service standards. Explain or recommend menu items to guests, answer questions about ingredients or specials, and occasionally check on customer satisfaction. Support food safety and hygiene standards by following sanitary rules in handling food, utensils, and tableware during the shift. Assist servers with beverage refills, additional orders, and customer requests as needed to enhance the overall dining experience. Keep expediting counter and trays clean and organized, ensuring readiness for fast turnover and new orders. Garnish dishes and check finished products for appearance, doneness, and accuracy before leaving the kitchen.
