POSITION DESCRIPTION The primary duty of the Busser is to ensure that unoccupied tables are ready to receive new guests. The Busser removes dirty dishes, sanitizes tables, cleans the seats and sweeps or vacuums the surrounding floor as needed. The Busser will be responsible for clearing tables when customers leave the restaurant, and working closely with Dishwashers to make sure that there are always clean plates and flatware for each table. Also assists servers in delivering food and filling or re-filling beverages. Responsibilities Prepare dining room for guests by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of service. Set up and break down dining room and service stations, including moving tables, chairs and other furniture as needed. Collaborate with servers to ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned, re-set and ready for the next party. Arrange tables for large parties and prepare the banquet areas for scheduled gatherings.
