Postion Summary: The Food Runner is responsible for working with the expo to assure prompt delivery of the food that is ready in the “hot” and “cold” windows in the kitchen. The Food Runner is responsible for delivery to the tables and working both together with the Expo and independently to assure that every plate looks correct and to deliver hot/cold food in a timely manner to the guests in all outlets. The Food Runner together with the service staff is responsible for bringing any additional items the guests need to complete their meal. Hourly Rate: $16.50/hr Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: • A warm personality, attentive, and presentable. • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service. • Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff. • Proactively supports the restaurant team by keeping the expo area stocked and clean at all times. • Ensure expo cleanliness by wiping down counters, refrigerators and any other surface area. Also keep the area sweep and mopped. • Pre-bussing guest tables once guest is done with a plate. • Delivering food orders to restaurant tables by table/seat number as well as guest rooms in a timely manner. • Communicating with staff and management before leaving their job post. • Ensuring expo area is clear of trash/dirty dishes. • Helping servers polish and roll silverware. • Assisting servers in preparing tables for large parties. • Run food to the pool deck and deliver to chairs based on floor plan • Proactively support the restaurant team while monitoring the expo line activity. • Restock Expo fridge with necessary items. • Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests. • Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty. • Ensure that all food items are properly garnished and presented before delivery • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders • Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Flexibility. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours, but it's also a lot of fun! Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others.
