The Buffet Attendant / FoodRunner is primarily responsible for setting up, breaking down and maintaining buffet items, ensuring that they are fresh, hot, and appealing. Responsibilities will also include transporting food from the kitchen to the buffet, ensuring that buffet items are properly stocked, maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the buffet area, equipment, and utensils. They will also assist with running food from the kitchen to guest tables in the restaurant and/or the lobby bar, and assisting guests as needed.

WHAT IS THE JOB?
Our team is looking for energetic food and drink runners to join us on our mission to turn the ordinary into extraordinary. To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for the following on a daily basis:
Monitoring the expo line for new food tickets, organizing them accordingly, and running food to the appropriate table.
Monitoring the bar well for freshly prepared beverages and running them to the appropriate table.
Maintaining constant communication with the cooks, servers and bartenders to communicate any guest issues.
Interacting with the guests appropriately and retrieving any additional items requested following drink/food delivery.
Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables and delivering to the appropriate dish washing station.
Ensuring your service teammates are adequately supplied with glassware, plateware and utensils at all service stations.
Being fun, enthusiastic and exuding lots of energy throughout each shift.
Bringing the infamous Austin vibe to our service model and creating the perfect Electric Shuffle experience.
Being able to work as part of a team, delivering consistent service with an attention to detail, even when under pressure.
Possessing excellent organizational skills and exuding efficiency.
Bringing new and creative ideas to how we do things.

Assist residents with menu selections as needed. Identify how various menu items are prepared, ingredients, and cooking methods especially for daily specials for residents and guests.
Ensure that plates are presentable before serving. Bring and serve food using large oval trays and tray stands; and preparing to-go or delivery orders appropriately.
Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g., serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
Ensure proper set up of dining room tables and server stations with all utensils, chinaware, glassware, sugars, salt, pepper, creamers, and crackers, fill beverage machines and make coffee, juice, etc. as needed.
Bus tables and return all dishes to the kitchen. Clean tables and chairs after meals and sweep, vacuum and pick up floor areas, as needed. Flip tables by replacing linens, as needed.
Ensure the beverage station is clean and organized.
Maintain clean, sanitary, and clutter free work environment at all times.
Cooperate to get work done and is flexible with daily schedule.
Assist in food inventory when needed.

2. General Duties
