Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. The technologist operates specialized imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires technical expertise in cardiovascular procedures, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Essential Work Functions:
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality
Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs
Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications
Adhere to radiation safety protocols, ensuring proper use of lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Required Essential Skills:

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The QC Analyst I performs testing of samples submitted to the laboratory in a cGMP compliant manner, as well as according to approved written procedures. The QC Analyst I may be required to write or revise SOPs, analytical procedures, or other analytical documentation at the discretion of quality control supervisory staff.
KEY DUTIES:
Perform testing in accordance with written procedures (i.e. USP/EP/JP grade)
Documentation of laboratory activities including worksheet/notebook entries according to procedures that define laboratory documentation practices.
Processing of electronic data using procedures that ensure data integrity and security.
Ship samples to contract testing facilities.
Entry of test results from contract laboratories
Review and countersign (when necessary) logbooks, notebooks, and worksheets for the purpose of verifying compliance with written procedures, good documentation practices, data integrity and accuracy of calculations.
Transcribe results onto analysis reports.
Perform daily standardization and performance verifications on laboratory equipment.
Comply with site-wide procedures including but not limited to change control, documentation, deviation reporting, cGMP compliance, safety, and electronic data security.
Identify deviations to written procedures.
Disposal of laboratory waste on an as needed basis.
Identify and report unsafe conditions within the laboratory.
Identify OOS results, atypical results, and atypical laboratory events requiring a laboratory investigation; perform investigative testing.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to perform routine analysis, such as wet chemistry and operate basic laboratory equipment.

We're not just committed to science; we're dedicated to your patients' health. Job Summary: Responsible for procuring and processing clinical specimens obtained from patients for laboratory testing. Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood products. Maintains adequate supplies.
Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients. Identifies and labels specimens. Conducts laboratory tests on specimens. Enters data into computer.
Assists donor before, during and after donation. Instructs on urine collection procedures.
cleans /sterilizes equipment, instruments and work area following safety, cleanliness and infection control procedures.
Inventories and maintains supplies.
Clerical duties as assigned by lab manager.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Other duties as assigned by the lab manager.
Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):
High school graduate or GED
2+ years phlebotomy experience and Geriatric draws are preferred
Effective communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Strong teamwork skills.
Must be able to follow all confidentiality and HIPPA regulations
