The Food Service Worker is responsible for assisting with preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for children residing in the Residential Treatment programs. This position is Saturday and Sunday 8am-5:30pm.
As the Food Service Worker you will:
Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees with minimum waste for large groups of people
Effectively follow and serve planned menus, ensuring all state requirements for nutrition are met
Have knowledge of appropriate food substitutions that meet all state requirements for nutrition
Maintain food inventory and rotate stock that includes refrigerated, frozen and dry goods storage and place appropriate orders with various vendors
Follow appropriate infection control procedures
Have knowledge of special dietary needs, i.e. serving entrees for diabetics
Effectively operate all kitchen equipment and machinery and maintain the equipment in a clean, sanitary manner
Knowledge of Food Safety Procedures, HACCP, and Food Service Sanitation
Participate with the “Quality Improvement” initiative
Provide guidance, mentoring and training to new employees
Assist with the preparation of meals that are required for special events, holiday functions or special outings
Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen at all times
Models and practices sensitivity, fair treatment and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions
Shows willingness to learn about and implement skills related to diversity
Ability to perform job functions in a self-directed manner, and work autonomously when necessary

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $12.39 to $21.63. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
* Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
* Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
* Understand what is inclusive of a meal
* Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
* Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
* Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
* Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and
* Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
* Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
* Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
* Adhere to the uniform policy
* Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
* Supervise the food temperature requirements
* Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
* Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
* Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
* Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
* Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
* This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
