In every community, there are people who need nourishing meals, and every college campus has unserved food in its dining halls and people who need this food. Students on campus volunteer to pick up the unserved food from the dining halls, pre-package and store the food, and redistribute the food to students, faculty, staff, post-doc students, and the community through Auburn Family Meals or through other community programs. Member Duties : The VISTA will leverage volunteers and resources to serve food insecure communities in the Lee County area. They will also connect clients, students, faculty, and staff to existing resources in the Lee County area. The member will manage social media, the website, and create marketing materials for the program. They will create a virtual Volunteer Fair and research other innovative ways to promote all programs. The member will evaluate the Circle K student organization and implement recommendations for improvement.

The primary responsibility of the Food Server is to provide prompt, courteous service to hotel patrons and ensure the guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



Acknowledge customer immediately with a smile. Inform guests of any specials and have a full understanding the menu to answer any questions. Take beverage order and serve in a timely manner. Ensure food order is correct before serving to the guests. Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests' needs. Clear empty plates and glasses from tables and place quickly in bus carts. Prepare sections and side stations, i.e., make sure tables are cleaned and set properly. Prepare silverware neatly and quickly at table. Clean area when finished preparing. Make sure all areas are clean and free of debris.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Work requires 6 months previous food server experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. Must present a neat and professional appearance. Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers. Work requires teamwork with other staff members.



PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:


Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant public. Also, requires carrying serving trays weighing up to 15 lbs., and may require lifting bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs. Shifts may vary based on business needs. Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

We are currently seeking a part-time
Server for our Cork | Fire Kitchen restaurant. This position is responsible for facilitating guests' food and beverage orders from the kitchen and serving in a gracious manner.
DUTIES:
- To understand and respond to all guests needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- To follow all specified procedures to provide prompt, efficient, and gracious customer service to restaurant guests, including artfully describing menu items, taking and serving food and beverage orders, and opening, closing and presenting guest checks.
- To satisfactorily perform, as directed, all routine opening and closing side duties including preparing dessert trays, folding napkins, and stocking and pre-set up of kitchen to facilitate meal service.
- To work as a team with Assistant Servers to ensure tables are properly set with clean silver and linens, and correct accessories, throughout shift and to promptly clear table at the completion of each course.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least one year experience in food service
- Must have basic knowledge of food and wine service, correct table settings, and dining room etiquette.
- Hotel experience preferred.
