We look forward to adding our next valued leader! Position Summary: Castaway Restaurant and Event Center is seeking dedicated and experienced Banquet Servers to join our dynamic team. As a Banquet Server at Castaway, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests during various private events, weddings, and banquets. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills will contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests. Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide information about the event and menu options as needed. Ensure that all guest requests and special dietary needs are met promptly and accurately. Set-Up and Breakdown: Assist in the setup and breakdown of private event rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and table settings according to event specifications. Ensure the banquet area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Prepare and arrange all necessary utensils, glassware, and tableware. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests according to established standards and procedures. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Anticipate guests' needs with a proactive attitude and approach Offer suggestions and recommendations to guests based on their preferences. Teamwork: Collaborate with other event servers, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure seamless service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently. Attention to Detail: Monitor and anticipate the needs of guests during events, such as refilling drinks and clearing empty plates. Ensure that tables are properly set and maintained throughout the event. Handle special requests or accommodations with care and professionalism. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Follow responsible alcohol service policies and practices. Qualifications: Previous experience as a banquet server in a similar upscale dining or banquet facility is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences. A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
