Qualifications: Must have experience in retail / specialty store / coffee shop or other food establishment Excellent verbal and written skills Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Server Permit a plus Experience with Toast POS a Plus Well organized and detail oriented Register and cash handling experience Flexible schedule availability- Must be available for morning and evening shifts. Maintains regular and punctual attendance Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends between 6:30am-6:00pm Example of Duties (this is a sampling and not an all-inclusive list): Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team. Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager. Delivers superior customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer. Maintains a clean and organized workspace Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products such as sandwiches and hot food consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products. Maintains proper safety procedures with staff to avoid work-related injuries or customer injuries Assists with customer issues/complaints to resolve them amicably Performs other reasonable duties in accordance with Management Physical Demands: • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and listen. • Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands/arms • Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds. • Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust and focus. • Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages. Pay rate: $17.40 per hour plus participation in the barista tip pool.
