Works under supervision and according to established policies and procedures and assists with the production, plating, and serving of foods (salads, desserts, deli, grill items) for the Cafeteria. Responsible for inventorying food items and keeping accurate records of food production. Must maintain sanitary work areas and utensils. Assists with ware-washing when necessary.
A. Sets up Cashier area to receive customers
B. Obtains cash till drawer, verifying starting bank accuracy.
II. Reviews menu items and prices.
III. When necessary, places menu signs in appropriate informational display areas for review by Cafeteria patrons.
IV. Operates a computerized cash register with keys listing menu selections; computes charges for each meal, assigns appropriate cost control (i.e. employee, visitor, tickets, etc.), receives cash, credit cards, meal cards and coupons and makes change for visitors and employees eating in the Cafeteria.
V. Closes out cash registers following established procedure. Counts all cash in bank and for deposit using the Teller Mate machine.
VI. Responsible for ensuring that the cash bank has the proper amount of cash, and secures additional change as necessary.
IX Responsible for ensuring cash station is clean and orderly.
X Performs other duties as assigned.
XI. Coordinates all cleaning assignments
