POSITION OBJECTIVES: * Using the appropriate SOP's, performs wet chemical analysis to accurately isolate microextraneous filth elements from various food products. * Accurately report results for analytical testing performed. * Actively participate in any Spice Chemical Proficiency Samples Program deemed relevant by Certified Laboratories. * Utilizing the appropriate reagents, prepares solutions necessary to perform filth extractions. Including accurately labeling and record keeping of all solutions and reagents prepared. * Performs qualitative and quantitative spice chemical analysis using the proper Compendial methodology and/or SOP's. * Macroscopically analyze various food products to isolate and quantify visual contaminants. * Maintain proficiency while use and calibration of the top loaders and analytical balances. * Awareness in the proper use and care of various microscopes. * Works effectively other departments. * Proactively looking for ways to help others.
