Purpose Statement
The job of Secretary I (0.5 FTE) is done for the purpose/s of providing secretarial support to school site; establishing and maintaining records; compiling and distributing materials and reports; and responding to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources.
This job reports to Assigned Administrator.
Essential Functions
* Administers first aid and prescription medications to students (under the direction of a health care professional) for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs within established guidelines.
* Attends department and/or in-service meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
* Collects payments for a variety of events (e.g. fines, fees, and fund raisers, etc.) for the purpose of completing transactions and/or securing funds.
* Compiles data (e.g. work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, personnel records, etc.) for the purpose of preparing reports or processing requests.
* Coordinates assigned projects and/or activities (e.g. proper distribution of materials to a variety of departments, arrangements for conferences, meetings, travel requirements, personnel to proctor all exit assessments, etc.) for the purpose of completing activities and/or delivering services in a timely fashion.
* Maintains inventory of supplies and materials (e.g. forms, office supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring items' availability.
* Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents files and records (e.g. work orders, time sheets, expense reimbursement requests, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date information and/or historical reference in accordance with established administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
* Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports and other materials (e.g. letters, memorandums, minutes, charts, periodic and ad-hoc reports, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
* Processes a variety of documents and materials (e.g. time sheets, work orders, requisitions, travel reimbursements, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information in compliance with established administrative guidelines.
* Researches assigned topics (e.g. current practices, policies, education codes, etc.) for the purpose of providing information for addressing department operations.
* Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. district staff, other schools, government agencies, general public, students, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
* Schedules activities (e.g. appointments, meetings, travel reservations/accommodations, facility usage, etc.) for the purpose of making necessary arrangements for assigned administrator.
Other Functions
* Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

About the Position - Food Service Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Executive Chef/Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the presentation of hot foods, pantry, and bakery items. This position is responsible to maintain high levels of product quality, cleanliness, productivity, and efficient use of New Freedom resources. Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing healthy salad bar options along with packed lunches for members on the go. This position is responsible for daily food rotation, labeling, as well as the cleanliness of the entire kitchen.
Your Impact Will Include:
Prepare and maintain Salad Bar offerings and other food items according to guidelines and standards set by the Executive Chef.
Set up and break down food service areas for all mealtimes, ensuring consistency with established schedules and quality expectations.
Maintain strict cleaning and sanitation practices throughout the dining hall and kitchen in alignment with New Freedom standards.
Follow all County, State, and Federal health and safety regulations while upholding proper food handling procedures and equipment care.
Assist with food preparation for daily service and catered events, adjusting production levels based on fluctuating client flow and operational demands.
Organize, clean, and maintain kitchen workspaces, equipment, tools, and storage areas; label and store food according to established guidelines.
Handle chemicals safely and appropriately in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and organizational protocols.
Collaborate professionally and courteously with leadership, staff, and members to support smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.
