Job Summary

Cleans chuckwagon kitchen area, including cooking and serving dishes and utensils, removal of debris, sweeping and mopping floors, food storage, etc.
Provides assistance to the Cooks to ensure that quality foodservices and health standards are maintained at all times within the chuckwagon.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The person filling this position must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior foodservice or commercial kitchen experience is preferred. On-the-job training will be considered for those who lack experience but show a strong willingness to learn. ServSafe Food Handler certification must be attained within the first 14 days of employment.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Degree and/or certification from culinary institute preferred.

SUMMARY
The Kitchen Aide assists in the preparation and serving of food at the chuckwagon and maintains the chuckwagon and dining area in a sanitary condition. While the Kitchen Aide acts as an assistant to the Cook within the chuckwagon setting, this position reports directly to the Camp Director. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are the various types of work performed in this position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Assists in the preparation and serving of food for youth, staff, and guests of the facility in a friendly and efficient manner.
Maintains the cleanliness and attractiveness of foods, food processing equipment, and the kitchen and dining areas in the chuckwagon.
Cleans chuckwagon kitchen area, including cooking and serving dishes and utensils, removal of debris, sweeping and mopping floors, food storage, etc.
Provides assistance to the Cooks to ensure that quality foodservices and health standards are maintained at all times within the chuckwagon.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The person filling this position must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior foodservice or commercial kitchen experience is preferred. On-the-job training will be considered for those who lack experience but show a strong willingness to learn. ServSafe Food Handler certification must be attained within the first 14 days of employment.
