Weigh, Mix and/or blend ingredients, according to recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet and/or color. Must be able to work independently or with a team Responsible for carefully reading and following batching instructions to ensure appropriate materials are weighed, measured to blending and mixing specifications. Set up, operate and tend equipment that blends, mixes or processes raw ingredients in the manufacturing of food products, according to designated formulas and recipes. Select measure and/or weigh dry and/or wet ingredients. Responsible for properly transferring ingredient lots and other critical control information. Responsible for cleaning equipment and following all applicable procedures. Inspect equipment after cleaning to ensure all residue(s) have been removed. Maintain accurate and detailed equipment work log, inventory and lot control records. Maintain assigned work area and production environment in clean and orderly condition. Safely operates forklifts as needed to keep assigned work area supplied with necessary production materials. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.     Lorain County Metro Parks is currently seeking food service employees at The Orchid Café at Miller Nature Preserve. Food service employees will help with food preparation and service while adhering to the state of Ohio's Health Department rules and regulations. Food service employees will also operate a point-of-sale register to sell food and beverages. Employees must provide excellent guest service in all guest interactions. We are seeking individuals who are available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Knowledge of food service is preferable but not necessary. Requirements Responsible for safe and efficient food handling and preparation according to the standards set by the Ohio Department of Health. Respond to inquiries both in person and over the phone.
