Job Responsibilities
Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions

Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Founded in 1647, Boston Public Schools (BPS) is the oldest public school district in the country. With approximately 49,000 students from over 114 different countries, nearly 8,000 employees, and an annual budget of $973 million, the BPS is the largest district in Massachusetts and one of the most diverse as well.
Currently, BPS has 125 schools with two different foodservice delivery models. The majority of schools have full-service kitchens with a full-time cafeteria manager and subordinate staff. The remaining schools and programs are satellite sites receiving meals from a consolidated production facility. The district serves approximately 17,000 breakfasts, 25,000 lunches, and 2,100 afterschool meals per day. During the summer months, BPS serves roughly 22,000 meals at sites all over the city. BPS has been approved for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP); which enables the district to provide free meals to all Boston students.
Job Responsibilities:
Receive and log all incoming orders and dry goods
Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product
Breakdown product into separate pallets; tag pallets for storage
Store item in designated cold and dry storage
Select and transport bulk items for packing and distribution
Load trucks for distribution in accordance with Distribution Center plan
Inspect all products to ensure they are meeting guidelines for quality and temperature
Track vendor and purchasing dates

Kitchen Worker
Kitchen Worker conducts day-to-day operations within the facility including the production, wasting, labeling, and sometimes the packaging of edibles.
Description:
* Responsible for producing medical and adult use cannabis edibles for the dispensary. Duties include knowledge of portions, recipes, cooking and preparation methods and other possible alterations required to produce edibles and products that meet company standards in addition to meeting Federal and State regulatory standards, to include the Massachusetts CCC, the American National Standards Institute, and the Conferences for Food Protection.
* Adhere to all HACCP regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage, which includes proper food storage and the security of food storage area as well as all related equipment.
* Maintain dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas in accordance with regulations, in addition to keeping temperature logs, and other various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc.
* Must be able to work well with others and work quickly and effectively under pressure.
* Must be able to lift cases up to 40 pounds and carry them from storage area to work areas.
* Work varied shifts such as weekends, holidays and nights as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
* Must be 21 years of age or older
* Highschool or Equivalent
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check and qualify to work in the Massachusetts Cannabis industry
* General knowledge of cannabis
* Ability to learn quickly and interest in learning new technologies
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 40 lbs
* Must be punctual, dependable and have reliable transportation
* Able to follow directions and ask questions as needed
