Recruit volunteers from colleges, parishes, local high schools (public and parochial), community organizations, businesses, and other venues. Performs work in the food pantry, in the community,and in the office. Completes special projects as directed. Local travel as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Nutrition, or related field with prior experience in human services and 2 years of supervisory experience.Or, proven work-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid license with 5+ years of driving experience,good driving record and willingness to drive 16' and 26' trucks and pantry vans. A CDL is NOT required . Must be comfortable driving on highways and interstates. Ability to remain on feet for extended periods during food pantry distribution times and restocking times. Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidentialinformation. Basic computer and email experience with the willingness and ability to learn internal software systems for scheduling and inventory. Proficiency in additional languages preferred The ability to bend,reachand lift 65 pounds without the use of an assistive device. Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack, forklift, electric power jack, and loading lift. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.Willingness and ability to learn internal software systems. Strong communication and problem-solvingskills and excellent attention to detail. Availability for occasional weekend or evening hours ServSafe certification is preferred or willing to be trained in food safety for food handlers.
