The FoodServiceWorker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records. Assist manager in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
Job Responsibilities

- Routinely delivers Restaurant Hospitality Standards. Communicates with integrated MKE restaurant team and customers through routine greeting. - A solid knowledge of weights and measures and the ability to read and interpret recipes is required. Job Description
The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC) seeks a part-time Pantry Associate for our Jewish Community Pantry, located at 2900 W Center Street. The pantry's hours of operation are Tuesdays from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM and Thursdays from 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
The Jewish Community Pantry address hunger in Milwaukee by providing emergency food, community resource connections, and a kosher section. We serve families in zip codes 53210 and 53216, and those with urgent food needs.
The JCC is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to help us provide food security and support to our neighbors in a welcoming, respectful environment. As a Pantry Associate, you will be the backbone of our daily operations-ensuring our shelves are stocked, our facility is sparkling clean, and our guests are treated with the utmost dignity.
Your Impact
You will play a vital role in the hunger-relief efforts in the area. Your daily tasks will include:
Pantry Operations: Unloading delivery trucks, stocking the warehouse, and assisting guests by loading groceries into their vehicles.
Volunteer Collaboration: Working side-by-side with our volunteers to ensure food is organized and ready for distribution.
Facility Care: Maintaining a clean and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
Community Culture: Promoting a welcoming atmosphere through respectful communication and customer-centric service.
Support Logistics: Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to keep the pantry running smoothly.
Who You Are
We are looking for a team player who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Positive Attitude: Ability to use respectful and customer-centric language with all pantry guests.
Physical Stamina: The strength to perform manual tasks (like mopping and lifting) and the ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoors and around moving warehouse equipment.
Age Requirement: Must be 16 years of age or older.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is an active role that keeps you moving! You should be comfortable with:
Standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.
Working in a moderately loud environment with moving mechanical parts (forklifts).
Frequent time spent outdoors in various weather conditions.
A varied schedule that may occasionally include weekends or holidays.
