Essential Job Functions Patient and Retail Services Works various stations in patient meal service area. Delivers carts, meals and supplies to patient units. Performs dishwashing and pot washing. Serves food in the retail areas. Stocks supplies throughout the department. Fills in for cross-trained roles in the department. Regulatory/Sanitation Maintains work area in a sanitary manner; completes cleaning duties. Prepares, serves, and stores foods according to HACCP guidelines. Assistant Cook Reports to: Cook Manager, Supervisor/Director Employment Status: Part-time, 3 hours per day, 200 days per year supports and assists the Head Cook in carrying out assignments/work as delegated by the Head Cook/Cafeteria Supervisor. Works cooperatively with supervisors and all other employees to bring efficiency and cleanliness for entire food service/cafeteria operations. Perform various tasks related to the monies received for school lunches (i.e., collect, count, prepare the deposit slip). Assist Head Cook when needed.
