    **The Role:** The Die Group Leader will be responsible for leading a team in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of dies and related mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, machine schematics, and various machining processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production. **What You'll Do (Responsibilities):** + Lead and supervise a team of die technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. + Interpret complex blueprints and machine schematics to diagnose and troubleshoot die malfunctions and mechanical equipment issues. + Oversee and actively participate in the repair, maintenance, and modification of dies, fixtures, and other mechanical equipment. + Apply expertise in various machining processes (e.g., milling, grinding, turning) to repair and fabricate die components. + Ensure all repair and maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures. + Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for die performance and longevity. + Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules. + Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory of die components. + Conduct regular inspections of dies and mechanical equipment to anticipate and prevent potential failures. **Specific physical requirements of the position include the ability to:** + Work in a loud manufacturing environment that may not be climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold) + Possess good physical stamina and coordination to frequently and repetitively: + Bend, twist, kneel, crouch and reach to perform work + Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. + Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time + Occasionally sit, climb (including ladders and lifts) and drive vehicles and equipment + Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections + Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals + Wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes **Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):** + One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader + Experience reading and understanding electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints + Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment + Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict and decision making + Experience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concerns + Demonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problems + Basic computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Word, typing, email, etc.) + Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts + 18 years of age or older + High School Diploma or equivalent **What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):** + Tool & Die experience + Stamping experience + Knowledge of die alignment, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance + Experience with robotic automation or CNC machinery. + Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. + Prior work in automotive tier-1 or OEM stamping facilities. + Strong critical thinking and analytical skills + Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously + Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful + High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directed + Experience collaborating across multiple functions within a manufacturing setting GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Job Overview: Manages the safety, productivity, training, morale, and security of a maintenance production Group. Monitors production and meets established production and quality targets. Possesses strong expertise in multiple technical work areas. Directly responsible for Team Members. Responsibilities: * Acts as the technical and disciplinary lead of the group. * Oversees, organizes, and coordinates all work content of the group. Motivates, supports, develops, and challenges team members to their optimal potential. * Manages flow of communication to the team and to management * Drives continuous improvement for production processes, efficiency, product quality, environment, and ergonomics. * Identifies trouble areas and resolves issues. * Administer company policies and procedures. * Assumes ownership and accountability for personnel management: Responsible for evaluations/reviews, coaching, counselling, resource planning and team building. * Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Plans, controls, and approves vacation, employee shifts, qualifications, and schedules. * Provides feedback to all involved departments to improve overall performance of the plant. * Prepares reports based on data. Presents findings to management and others. * Introduces measures for positive development of employees. Resolves complex employee issues. * Resolves issues that are varied and non-routine. May order materials and/or spare parts. * Facilitates and participates in regularly scheduled meetings. Qualifikationen Qualifications: * High School Diploma * 3+ years of Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing environment * Must have experience with (Body, Paint, or Assembly) Industrial Maintenance * Bachelor's degree in related field is desired * Highly flexible individual with the ability to adapt to changing priorities Strong interpersonal skills required.     The Group Leader - Material Control is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of material handling personnel engaged in the movement, storage, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. This includes leadership of shipping and receiving functions, inventory control, and forklift operations to ensure efficient and timely materials flow. Pay Range: $25.46-$26.17 plus .75 shift premium Key Responsibilities: Direct the work of employees handling, storing, and transporting materials throughout the facility. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including scheduling of trucks and documentation verification. Oversee the use of industrial trucks and equipment based on plant layout and handling procedures. Organize storage of raw material, in-process components, and finished goods. Maintain and record accurate inventory of materials received, stocked, and distributed. Monitor materials on the shop floor and supply production areas as needed. Load and unload trucks, including receiving steel coil deliveries. Operate lift trucks and, as needed, company pickup trucks to move materials or make deliveries. Maintain truck logs and comply with commercial driving and shipping regulations. Prepare items for shipment and ensure they meet specifications. Compare shipment records to verify contents against bills of lading and orders. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Perform other customer- or product-driven tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
