The Foreign Language Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified educator responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. Foreign Language Teachers provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs. Foreign Language Teachers monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system. They actively work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance each student's learning toward established goals. Foreign Language Teachers typically work from home but must travel occasionally throughout the year to various school functions, such as state testing or as otherwise required by the school.
THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION THAT WILL LIKELY PAY $20-$25/HOUR
This is a part-time hourly position up to 25 hours per week. Ability to work independently is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday is imperative. Instructional hours fall between 9-5 EST (or 8-4) based on the needs of the schools we serve. Assigned hours may range based on various factors (school need, content area, teacher availability, etc.).

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the hourly wage to be $20-25/hour up to 25 hours per week . The hourly wage is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. This role supports multiple virtual, live instruction service offerings within Edmentum's Instructional Services organization. In all cases, learning is built on a foundation of award-winning digital curricula aligned to state standards.
Teachers will be assigned to facilitate some combination of the following:
Flexible Virtual Learning - In this learning environment, students are assigned an Edmentum course via their local school, and they complete the work largely on their own time. Grading, messaging, and live help and overview sessions are provided by an Edmentum Virtual Teacher.
Enhanced Virtual Learning - This learning environment fills gaps where teacher resources or schedules are stretched. These sessions are scheduled within the school day/bell schedule. Edmentum Virtual Teachers lead the session daily, just like their regular classroom teacher, meeting with students to teach on a given topic.
Targeted Skills Instruction - These sessions are done in a tutoring format offered outside of normal classroom instruction as a small group intervention service. Edmentum Teachers provide a tailored lesson to students grouped based on their diagnostic assessment results for a given subject.
Special Education - In this learning environment, the Teacher provides instruction based on individual students' IEPs (Individualized Education Program).
Additional Responsibilities - Standalone grading services and class coverage.

Recreational Sports is seeking an Academic Wage Hourly: ALI Wilderness Medicine Instructor. This is a part-time (0.03 FTE),12-month, fixed-term position.
This position is available to individuals that demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, understanding of risk management and have maintained clean and positive employee files. (FTE may vary).
The Adventure Leadership Institute (ALI) Instructor reports to the Sr. Assistant Director of the ALI and is responsible for the development and instruction of a variety of courses for the ALI depending on the expertise of the Instructor. Courses may include but are not limited to Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, White Water Rescue, Raft Guide School and Rock Climbing Guide School. This is a demanding position that includes time in the field with students and an emphasis on risk management, quality instruction, and adherence to the educational philosophy of the Adventure Leadership Institute.

Key Responsibilities
90% Development and implementation of courses that support the goals and philosophies of the Adventure Leadership Institute. The instructor is responsible for the creation of all elements necessary to the successful running of ALI courses, including but not limited to lesson plans, learning outcomes, and teaching aids. These duties may also include the planning and executing of field experiences as a part of assigned courses. The instructor will evaluate students based on stated learning outcomes and provide coaching and remediation of skills as necessary. The instructor should also be in communication with other co- instructors and/or supervisor as to the needs of the students and how best to achieve stated learning outcomes for the course(s). This position will include the potential for work in remote and/or hazardous environments. The instructor will take all reasonable precautions to mitigate risks to students and other staff while teaching courses and/or in the field. The position will also include management of the logistics associated with outings and course reporting to various certifying bodies.
10% Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
* Current Wild Med Instructor Certification from Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO).
* Current Wilderness First Responder Certification or higher from SOLO.
* One or more years of experience working in an instructional role in a university setting with college students.
* Current CPR for the health care provider or ability to obtain prior to start date.
* Certification as an instructor from a nationally recognized organization for a given course discipline.
* Commitment to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
