    Job Description We are currently seeking a Second Shift Shop Foreman who will be responsible for overseeing operations during the evening shift, ensuring timely and accurate maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and equipment. This hands-on leadership role manages second-shift diesel technicians, maintains workflow, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise second shift diesel technicians; provide direction, assign tasks, and monitor progress. Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrains, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Prioritize and manage work orders to meet turnaround targets without compromising quality. Act as the main point of contact during second shift for any service-related decisions or escalations. Ensure all work performed meets safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with first shift service manager. Maintain clean and organized workspaces. Train and mentor new or less-experienced technicians. Complete necessary paperwork, repair documentation, and system entries accurately and on time. Support a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and accountability. The ideal candidate is an experienced diesel mechanic who is capable of performing mechanical duties when not helping customers. Education and Experience 2-3 Years of hands-on commercial diesel repair experience. Experience with Volvo, Mack and Cummins repair is a plus. Experience with Premium Tech Tool software is not required but is a plus. High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification preferred. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills as well as experience on diesel engines, emissions systems, and heavy-duty trucks is required. Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to work independently during second shift with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. OEM training preferred.
