Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: · Has a thorough working knowledge of mechanical construction and installation. · Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. · Works with tools to complete specific assigned tasks on a project. · Tracks and reports units and labor hours, including filling out and submitting timecards. · Maintains proper care and the appropriate number of tools and equipment necessary to support productions specific to a project. · Works independently and may lean on the Truck Foreman for support. · Leads and monitors safety and security procedures within the crew. · Understands and achieves crew production goals. · Establishes crew sizes that align with production goals. · Documents key information such as activities, productions, and crew sizes. · Communicates with suppliers and coordinates delivery of supplies to jobsite. · Understands and maintains established quality levels associated with duties. · Coordinates other trade work associated with the assigned scope of work. · Participates in all safety activities such as toolbox talks, job hazard analysis. · Reads and understands plans, specifications, shop drawings and coordination drawings. · Provides on-the-job guidance and willingly shares subject matter expertise in order to support team member learning and development. · Coordinates inspections for assigned scope of work. · Participates in, documents and updates punch lists. · Manage field crew in day to day production of projects · Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly · Provide leadership to others through example Supervisory / Budgetary / External Communications Responsibility · Direct responsibility for leading a construction crew. Require the use of the proper personal protective equipment by all crew members and subcontractors. Hold weekly job-site safety meetings. The job site should be kept orderly and free of safety hazards. Treat the site as if it is your own property. The job site sign should be kept clean and in good repair. The conduct of each crew member should be professional and courteous. Maintain all vehicles in compliance with departmental preventive maintenance policies. Do not allow unsafe conditions to exist on the vehicles. Vehicles should be washed and cleaned weekly. Operate all vehicles in a safe manner.
