Responsibilities MV Transportation is seeking a Shop Foreman to manage all maintenance aspects of the maintenance operation during shift to include preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles. The Maintenance Shop Foreman for El Paso will be responsible and accountable for directing cost-effective preventative maintenance and repair activities for all vehicles and equipment associated with the contract; participates in managing major and minor repairs to include overhauls and periodic system checks; assists in managing the ongoing fleet cleaning program, scheduling and other duties as needed. Must be Master ASE certified. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for all maintenance and utility staff. The Shop Foreman will assure that all contractual requirements are achieved. The Excellerate Foreman I is responsible for supervising electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial and industrial settings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES All previous classification requirements must be continually satisfied. Demonstrates ability to run a scope of work/project(s) with a crew of (1-10+) effectively. Establish expectations and motivates crews to consistently meet or exceed project goals. Consistently completes projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner. Demonstrates ability to complete basic paperwork (i.e., foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, time cards, etc.) in a timely manner. Effectively manages resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within crew. Reads and understands estimates, with the assistance of project management or superintendent, as a part of the installation and layout of a project. Consistently provides feedback and coaching to crew members. Takes the initiative to run a thorough ORM. Is conscious of safe and unsafe acts on the jobsite and addresses and eliminates hazards accordingly. Consistently enforces and promotes workplace safety procedures (weekly toolbox talks, weekly safety audits, appropriate documentation, etc.) Actively mentors and develops others within projects and crews. Supports usage of Faith internal resources to include, but not limited to Excellerate, Precon, APC, Productivity, Engineering, Estimating, etc. Maintains compliance with company policies; consults with HR and/or Workforce Managers (PM if appropriate) to ensure consistent corrective measures are taken, and documentation completed. Demonstrates excellent customer relations through utilization of effective problem-solving techniques. Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in construction management, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on steel erection and installation. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate construction crews. Thorough understanding of construction techniques, safety regulations, and quality standards related to steel fabrication and erection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in reading construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
