POSITION SUMMARY
The Drywall/Framing Foreman leads and supervises field crews on our commercial steel stud framing and drywall construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role directs daily activities, coordinates with trade partners, and communicates project requirements to the team. The Drywall/Framing Foreman monitors progress, enforces safety and compliance standards, resolves field issues, and supports the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in achieving project goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervise and lead field crews on steel stud framing and drywall projects to complete assigned construction tasks
Plan, assign, and monitor daily work to ensure it aligns with project schedules and quality standards
Read and interpret construction drawings (architectural, structural, MEP, civil, etc.) and communicate requirements clearly to the crew
Generate, submit, and track RFIs based on field conditions, constructability issues, and coordination conflicts
Perform material take-offs from drawings to support field ordering, installation sequencing, and work planning
Prepare accurate daily reports, including completed work, site conditions, labor hours
Perform exterior and interior layout to ensure plans are executed correctly in the field
Utilize Procore and Bluebeam for document control, coordination, and reporting
Coordinate work with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to maintain workflow and avoid conflicts
Enforce adherence to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies
Conduct daily safety checks and provide training or guidance to crew members as needed
Monitor productivity, quality of work, and material usage, reporting progress to the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Assist with inspections, punch lists, and ensuring work is ready for approvals
Help resolve field issues and support problem-solving to maintain project momentum
Document daily jobsite activities, conditions, and incidents as required
Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations and project success
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Drywall/Framing Foreman works under the direction of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. This role provides direct supervision to field crews, including carpenters and laborers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, providing on-the-job guidance and training, enforcing company policies and safety regulations, and coordinating with subcontractors and other trades to support overall project success.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience as a Drywall/Framing Foreman on commercial projects in structural and non-structural steel stud framing and drywall required
In-depth commercial construction knowledge specifically within both drywall systems and steel stud framing, including load-bearing and non-load-bearing assemblies
Prior experience as a lead carpenter or laborer
Experience in ground-up, TI, or large-scale commercial projects
Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
Must have a clean driving record

Safety & Compliance
Enforce all company safety policies and CAL/OSHA requirements
Lead by example with proper PPE use and safe work practices
Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately
Ensure crews understand and follow electrical and roofing safety standards
Required Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of:
Solar electrical systems (AC vs. DC, volts/amps/watts, production testing)
Inverters, backfeed calculations, and equipment specifications
Main service panel types and tie-in requirements
Roofing systems, attachment methods, and watershed principles
Ability to read plans, permits, and installation documents
Clear verbal communication and leadership presence
Ability to manage multiple jobsite variables simultaneously
Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience as an Installer 3 or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to act as Foreman when called upon
Consistent attendance and reliability
Strong working relationships with superintendents and field leadership
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work on rooftops and ladders
Ability to lift and carry installation materials and equipment
Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Duties:
The duties for this position will include and not limited to performing physical labor for;
Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines, project timelines, and quality standards.
Coordinate daily tasks, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project milestones.
Working knowledge of all customer Standards.
Ability to communicate and understand potential change orders and manage their completion in a timely manner.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to perform administrative tasks on an IPAD as required by company procedure.
Time keeping, Quality Checklists, Inventory Ordering, etc.
JSA's, Safety Meetings and Standard Updates.
Train and mentor newer team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
Ability to recognize safety concerns and exercise proper authority to mitigate risk and proper reporting.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project expenses.
Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular safety meetings, tailboards, inspections, and training sessions.

2-4 years of Leadman experience
