The ideal candidate is an experienced diesel mechanic who is capable of performing mechanical duties when not helping customers.
Education and Experience
2-3 Years of hands-on commercial diesel repair experience.
Experience with Volvo, Mack and Cummins repair is a plus.
Experience with Premium Tech Tool software is not required but is a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification preferred.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills as well as experience on diesel engines, emissions systems, and heavy-duty trucks is required.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently during second shift with minimal supervision.
Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
OEM training preferred.

This position exists to assist the Field Manager in ensuring that all projects are completed within budgeted hours, by job specifications and in accordance with proper quality standards. Also, to provide assistance with project preparation and scheduling with the primary focus on day-to-day field management of landscape projects.

Responsibilities
Use strong leadership skills to build teamwork, high morale, and a skillful workforce.
Assist in managing, overseeing, providing training and being a mentor to the Crew Leaders
Take personal responsibility for your own leadership development.
Review the scope of work, proposals, and drawings.
Assists (when needed) in the review and approval of all subcontractor invoices pertaining to the assigned projects.
Provide proactive planning and communication of all project schedule dates to all persons involved in the project. Included but not limited to the Field Manager, Account Manager, subcontractors, purchasing department and yard personnel.
Assist in making daily adjustments to the schedule based on job completions and changes in the customer's expectations.
Qualifications
Excellent supervisory and customer service skills.
Strong computer and organizational skills.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in related construction field(s).
Demonstrated organization and leadership abilities.
Valid driver's license with proven, safe driving record (required)
Ability to regularly lift 80lbs.
Experience operating skid-loader and related construction equipment.
