Job Description Overhead Foreman The Overhead Foreman is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This position works at various locations and may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $58.00- $63.00 based on experience. Essential Functions: Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work. Supervises crew members. Possesses working knowledge of leadership and management skills. Must be capable of leading and training less skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures. Must be capable of leading and teaching hot stick work on energized lines. Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings. Possesses a working knowledge of all aspects of line work. Stringing overhead wire. **Responsibilities:** + Selects type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and valves, according to job specifications. + Assists foreman in planning the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers. + Cuts pipe using pipe cutter, pipe saw, power tools (band saw), and pipe cutting machine. + Threads pipe using threading machine. + Knowledge in safe operation of Victaulic roll grooving and cut groove operations + Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipe. + Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded, wrapped, soldering, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools. + Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools. + Knowledge in safe and professional testing of piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. + Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures + Has working knowledge of working around heavy machinery to include hydraulic and lattice cranes + Ability to rig and signal loads as required + Ability to set and align process equipment like pumps and blowers + Conducts field layout of piping system and calculates offsets, miters, and fittings as required + Performs other duties as required. + Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: Self-Motivated, Results Oriented, Adaptable, Team Player, Accountable, Ethical, Innovative, Resilient, Builds Relationships **Qualifications:** + Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety + Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers + Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines + Ability to read drawings including but not limited to pipe shop drawings, mechanical drawings, and P&ID's + Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects + Good communication skills + Ability to lead a crew of 3-8 employees in safe and productive execution of the work. + Ensure compliance with safety procedures and conduct safe start meetings with the crew daily + Ability to track and document crew hours worked and phase timesheets + Ability to track and measure production of the crew + Ability to plan our work activities to ensure proper tools and on time delivery of materials and equipment. **Working in this career involves (physical activities):** + Bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching + Seeing clearly up close + Identifying and understanding the speech of another person + Lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects + Using abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or over time without tiring The work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. **The Physical Demands of the Job: T** his is a physically demanding role on an active construction site.
