About the Role
As a Civil Construction Foreman specializing in Site or Utility work, you will oversee the execution of underground utility projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. You will utilize your leadership and organizational skills to manage on-site operations, supervise crew members, and maintain effective communication with management. Your expertise in construction management software and budgeting will be vital in optimizing project schedules and resources.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for supervising crew members to ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely and profitably.
Knowledge in trenching and excavation, confined spaces and hazardous materials and atmospheres.
Must have site or utility foreman experience.
Responsible to ensure that construction projects are performed in accordance with company procedures, as well as safety, environmental and other regulatory guidelines and mandates.
Allocate general and daily responsibilities to crew and resolve problems when they arise.
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
Monitor crew attendance and performance while providing crew leadership to include correcting improper work practices through training, coaching or reprimands.
Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments.
Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions that will include physically walking jobsites in different stages of construction. This may mean wet, dry, hot and cold conditions and rugged terrain.
Excellent communication and written skills and ability to fill out forms electronically using an iPad or iPhone.
Process and submit timecards for crew and report on progress to Superintendent, Managers, Engineers, etc. daily.
Qualifications
Must have site or utility foreman experience in heavy civil construction.

What you will do…
Plan, organize, and direct the work of the job crew employees on a daily basis
Discipline and counsel employees as needed, as well as motivate employees on a regular basis
Hire and direct the training of employees as needed, as well as discharge employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope
Attend coordination meetings as required and provide necessary information
Monitor and document the progress of the job through the use of appropriate forms listed on the Mobile App
Provide a Lead person with current and accurate information by generating RFI's, memos, and other forms of communication
Monitor, direct, and improve as necessary the quantity of work performed by the crew
Communicate company policies and procedures to the job crew

What you will need to succeed…

Tasks included inventory control, tool management, and hazardous material control and management. Additional duties include assisting Travel personnel with housing arrangements for arriving workforce personnel, meal card management, and return flight arrangements.
**This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance**
**ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE:** **_This is a year-round position; current rotation is 3 months on and 1 month away from the site_**
**In this role, you will:**
+ Provide on-site shipping and receiving materials and construction equipment.
+ Provide on-site inventory control and management of all SERCO assets.
+ Provide on-site tools management.
+ Provide on-site hazardous material inventory, control and overall management.
+ Provide on-site flammable storage inventory and control of all flammable materials and liquids.
+ Assist the SERCO travel office with housing arrangements for arriving workforce personnel, to include meal card distribution, room preparation prior to arrival, and return flight coordination.
+ Maintain inventory status in Serco's warehouse management software suite.
+ Initiate purchase requests for site supplies and misc. materials.

+ The logistician typically reports to the Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**

Operate hydraulic and pneumatic systems for cable installation in both microduct and standard conduit.

Oversee fiber cable prepping: mid-sheath access, buffer tube ID, cleaning, tagging, slack routing-ensuring readiness for the splicing team.

Track progress with daily reports, redlines, photo documentation, and accurate closeout packages.

Qualifications:
