The Grading Foreman supervises and works alongside a crew of employees and occasionally subcontractors when needed to assist in the installation and construction of grading projects. The incumbent will supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work and the review and approval of tasks.
Job Description:
Fulfill all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, including project layout, and complete required paperwork.
Ensure compliance of production staff with all policies and procedures, OSHA, MSHA, and NCDOT guidelines.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and meet other housekeeping needs as required.
Follow all requirements listed in the Supervisor Safety Procedure Manual (SSPM), including, but not limited to, safety training, emergency procedures, accident reporting and investigation, and employee observations.
Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines, and apply necessary timelines.

Submit timesheets to payroll by the required deadline.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The LV Construction Foreman:
· Installs Structured Cabling Systems including but not limited to category 6, 6A, optical fiber, security, overhead paging, and audio\/visual cabling within a commercial building and\/or construction environment.
· Installs outside plant cabling including multi\-pair copper and optical fiber cabling.
· Perform terminations of category 6, 6A, Multi\-Pair Copper, and Optical Fiber cabling including fusion splicing.
· Conduct performance testing of category 6, 6A, multi\-pair copper, and optical fiber cabling utilizing company test equipment.
· Self\-manage time, personnel, materials, and equipment that has been allocated to a project.
· Coordinates and schedule daily tasks
· Oversees quality of the installation.
· Works with Project Manager to manage labor and material budgets.
· Ensures that their jobsite is always kept clean and presentable.
· Balance customer expectations while maintaining project and company goals.
· Maintain the safety of their team as well as anyone else on their jobsite.
· Form working relationships with others, including project managers, customers, contractors, and co\-workers.
· Give direction to other personnel working on their project.
· Take direction from other Foremen.
· Will be required to operate and maintain cleanliness of a company owned vehicle for business use and must sign and abide by the company's vehicle use agreement.
Experience

· BICSI training and certification strongly preferred.

Job Duties:
Heavy equipment operation - Track hoe, backhoe, (ability to install sheet piling a plus), rental equipment and materials scheduling and call off.
Direct and run the project which includes piping and the installation of the tanks and related project materials.
Communicate to the Installation Manager any specific requirements for completing the project in a safe, timely, and profitable manner.
