The Electrical General Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical activities on large-scale commercial construction projects. This role oversees multiple crews, ensures work is performed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract documents, codes, and company standards. The General Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader for electrical operations and works closely with project management, other trades, and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all electrical construction activities on assigned projects
Manage multiple electrical foremen and crews, ensuring proper manpower allocation and productivity
Interpret and enforce electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work
Coordinate electrical work with general contractors, other trades, and project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Lead daily planning meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
Monitor job progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
Order materials, tools, and equipment; track deliveries and manage inventory on site
Review and approve timecards, daily reports, and production tracking
Assist project management with scheduling, cost control, change orders, and forecasting
Prepare work plans and look-ahead schedules to support project milestones
Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite Required Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician license (as required by state or local jurisdiction)
Minimum 8-10 years of commercial electrical construction experience
At least 3-5 years of experience in a foreman or general foreman role on large commercial projects
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage coordination
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Proven leadership and crew management skills
Strong understanding of construction scheduling and productivity tracking
Excellent communication and coordination skills Preferred Qualifications

**In this role, you will:**

We're seeking one to two experienced Foremen to lead the installation of fall protection systems nationwide. Candidates with ironworking or rigging experience often transition well into this type of work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with Field Superintendent and/or Project Manager to schedule job tasks and equipment.
Coordinate daily tasks and schedules according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel
Continually provide updates to the Job Site Superintendent and Canyon Management on project status and communicate any needs at the job site.
Must review and comprehend project scope of work, submittals, and continually review all drawings including all RFIs/ASIs and shop drawings, i.e; Rebar, Elevator and Embeds.
Required to write and submit at the jobsite a Daily Report summarizing the days activities.
Responsible to place concrete and material orders through Canyon website for assigned job as necessary.
Develop and present a two week look ahead for the project at the weekly internal scheduling meeting.
Required to hold weekly safety toolbox talks with emphasis on worksite safety and safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Ensure that daily huddles are held each day to include stretch and flex, hazard analysis, and the daily work assignments.
Develop and oversee quality standards on the job site.
Resolve problems with projects, materials, and employees as they arise.
Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably.
Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
5+ years' experience in the concrete construction industry.
Prior experience managing 5 or more employees on a job site.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
CPR required.

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with time provided for lunch, hours may vary. Traffic control restraints on the projects may require working different days and hours as needed. Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel/ Driving
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Driver's license is required. This position is eligible for a company supplied vehicle, or a monthly vehicle stipend.
Supervisory Responsibility
Assigns work to subordinates, establish deadlines and modifies work schedules to meet deadlines depicted in the project schedule.
Communicates with project team regularly, discussing schedule, needs, equipment, and long term work planning
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Proven experience as construction foreman with a minimum of 5 years in underground pipe system installations
· diploma or certificate in a skilled trade (Carpenter, site grading, pipe installation etc.) a plus.

Job Summary:

Performs various field and shop tasks associated with the HVAC sheet metal trade.
