Summary/Objective:
In this position, you will be tasked to lead, coordinate and manage the construction and installation of equipment in accordance with federal, state and company policies and regulations. Communication and daily interaction with customers, vendors, sub-contractors, local and state regulatory agencies is required. Crew foreman will be detailed oriented, keeping an eye out for any safety issues, bringing any issues to the attention of his superiors, while still striving to complete the project on time.
Essential Job Functions:
Certification and Training from Petroleum Equipment Manufacturer's a plus (we will provide all necessary training)
Valid Driver's License and good driving record
Experience with Petroleum Construction is a MUST! (I.E. Have you built gas stations before?)
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to work well with others
Ability to Operator Heavy Equipment (backhoe, trackhoe, skid steer) a plus
Communicate with Project Managers, subcontractors, local and state inspectors and vendors
Out of town travel from time to time

Ensure that proper safety and equipment are on the job and used in the proper manner; Foreman needs to coordinate these needs with the manager but is ultimately responsible
Supervise and support crew every day about safety, quality, and labor production
Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained, such as oil changes on kettle motors, belts on cutters, etc.
Prepare and submit daily job reports, field progress problems, technical questions, and timesheets, as directed by manager
Responsible for overall quality control of each job including: checking for water tightness, mops left on the roof, ensuring the job site is complete and has been cleaned up properly, coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site for the last time
Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions
Cut felt, shingles, and strips of flashing, and fit them into angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces
Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs and seal the seams
Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets, or lines on shingles
Covering roofs and exterior walls of structures with slate, single-ply systems, asphalt, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum, and/or related materials, using brushes, knives, punches, hammers, and other tools.
Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment

Mission
Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Bridge Foreman based out of Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Foreman Primary Work Function: A craftsman with extensive skill and experience level, able to manage a crew consisting of foreman, carpenters, finishers, and laborers to safely perform construction tasks.
Main Responsibilities
Job requires ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction project, including the ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials.
* Basic Carpentry as it relates to the building and bracing of wooden forms and falsework.
* Drive Pile - must be able to work off the ground positioning pile in leads, climbing ladders up to 60 feet.
* Steel and Concrete Girder Erection - must be able to work off the ground assembling and guiding girders into final position, including handling as needed to preset.
* Able to clearly explain steps, provide clear directions and answer questions while organizing subordinates.
* Able to properly train subordinates on the tasks being performed.
* Able to work and supervise others in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies.
* Have mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do timesheets, including quantities.
* Able to read and check grades.
* Able to identify potential schedule conflicts, and problems and communicate with Supervisor.
* Able to read blueprints and assist Supervisor with formulation of work plan.
* Able to successfully train a replacement.
* Supervise a crew, communicate, inspect, handle conflict, and follow directions.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
* Able to read plans, perform simple layout with minimal supervision.
* Plan and schedule own work and crews on a daily/weekly basis.
* Perform multiple technical skills - proficient in four (4) areas of structural operations:
* Steel Erection
* Form/Construct Overhangs
* Substructure Concrete
* Pile Driving
* Understand the basics of cost control, equipment operations and project requirements.
* Effectively manage the work plan and a crew of 5-6 employees with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5+ years in bridge/heavy highway construction in Lead/Lead Carpenter/Foreman role.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities; experience managing crews and subcontractors (preferred)
* Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
* Ability to effectively read and understand work plans
* Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.

We are a licensed and insured contractor serving residential, commercial, and institutional properties with interior and exterior waterproofing, foundation repair, sump pumps, and crawl space solutions.
