Position responsible for managing the crew during the installation of a quality roof in a safe and efficient manner and ensuring the project is completed on time and under budget. This position is also responsible for performing roof inspections, safety inspections and over all knowledge of the job. The Foreman must understand the requirements of all major roofing types and should be well skilled in the management of roofing crews. This position reports directly to a Superintendent. This position is an hourly, non-exempt position. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the job/project with the Account Manager, and Superintendent. Inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Complete the Daily Safety Sheet form and submit to the Supervisors as applicable. Maintain employee and site safety in OSHA compliance Proper installation of all new roofing systems exactly as specified Direct the crew; instruct employees, assign and allocate work Document project progress and activities Responsible for crew production and quality of workmanship Maintain good customer relations Requisition additional materials Responsible for company issued equipment Evaluate roof mechanics and helpers / laborers Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any project.
