Job Title: Construction Foreman
About Your Opportunity: Join our team as a Construction Foreman, where your primary responsibility will be the planning and execution of construction, erection, and demolition work on assigned projects. You will play a crucial role in coordinating activities with the project superintendent, project manager, and other contractors to ensure project schedules are met and work progresses smoothly, all while adhering to safety and productivity standards.
How You'll Contribute:
Provide direction, guidance, and work assignments for Wohlsen self-performing workers.
Perform layout for self-performed work, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Monitor and meet established productivity rates, submitting weekly reports to the project team.
Coordinate staffing needs with the Carpentry Superintendent, preparing manpower projections.
Review construction documents, ensuring a good understanding of self-perform scope and adjacent work.
Coordinate with Yard Manager and vendors to ensure proper supply of tools, materials, and equipment.
Regularly inspect and observe direct reports' work, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Enforce safe work practices, conduct daily huddles, and address safety concerns.
Other Functions:
Weekly submission of timesheets for Wohlsen direct reports.
Administer, collect, and submit weekly toolbox meetings for all Wohlsen workers.
Review site-specific rules and logistics with new workers to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with Carpentry Superintendent and initiate disciplinary action as required.
Qualifications:
Ability to read blueprints.
Master Carpenter's background.
Ten years of construction experience, three years in a supervisory capacity.
First aid training.
OSHA Certification.
Ability to use transit and levels.
Ability to work at heights greater than 6 feet above ground level.
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Working knowledge of surveying equipment; total station equipment preferred.
Proficiency in the use of standard construction and demolition tools and equipment.
Forklift operation skills are a plus.
Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
Working Conditions:
Primarily on construction job sites with exposure to all weather conditions.
Some work in controlled office environments.
Regular travel by motor vehicle and occasional overnight travel by various modes of transportation.

This role is responsible for assisting Superintendents and the internal project team with daily tasks, including coordinating subcontractors, reviewing material deliveries and quality of installations, and other documentation requirements on jobsites. Depending on experience and preference, this position may also be responsible for running their own project. This position will report to the site Superintendent, with direct oversight from the Director of Field Operations.
Daily travel to a project within a 0 - 120-mile radius may be required. Agreement to additional travel outside of the required radius creates eligibility for a salary premium based on the distance.
Major duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Reviews daily jobsite needs with the job site supervisor and defines how they assist to track or manage or check items that are progressing.
Reads and interprets project plans and specifications and analyzes construction methods and scheduling for details and sequences of work.
Promotes a culture of jobsite safety and demands safe work practices from everyone onsite. Rectifies jobsite hazards immediately and ensures that all safety procedures are adhered to both by Warfel employees and subcontractor employees and visitors. Assures that designated safety personnel conduct regular safety inspections and reviews.
Manages all new contract documents and keeps all file locations/paper copies updated with newest documents onsite either electronically or on paper.
Checks shop drawings and submittals submitted by subcontractors and field measurements to confirm design requirements are met before materials are fabricated.
Purchases miscellaneous jobsite materials and rough hardware and supplies as authorized by the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Assists site supervisor with the activity of vendors for adherence to delivery dates and completion of field activities. Take appropriate action if schedules are not being met to document it as an issue.
Review material deliveries brought in by subcontractors and verifies them against approved submittals and contract documents. Tracks delivery log.
Communicates internally and externally as requested by project team. Prepares notes and photos to subcontractors for various reasons, i.e. confirm phone conversations, request information, document issues, verify delivery dates, etc.
Routine photographic documentation of progress onsite. Files accordingly. Follows QC labeling requirements
Supervises workmanship onsite to ensure installed work is in compliance with drawings and specifications and meets Warfel standards. Performs inspections of installed materials or assists site supervisor with review and completes documentation of QA/QC reports.
Performs completion lists and punchlist documentation for site close-out activities as reviewed with superintendent and project team.
May be required to work with their tools to help install work.

Company: DDP Roofing Services, Inc About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman to join our team. This role is responsible for leading crews in the installation, repair, and replacement of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and related materials. The Foreman ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent communication with team members, general contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise crews daily with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
* Review project files, shop drawings, scope of work, and labor/material budgets with management.
* Ensure proper safety plans are in place, conduct toolbox talks and safety huddles, and enforce OSHA compliance.
* Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness, housekeeping, and equipment functionality.
* Oversee delivery, storage, and use of materials; verify materials against purchase orders.
* Install, repair, or replace commercial roofing systems using TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified plastics, elastomeric, and asphaltic compositions.
* Cut, shape, and install insulation, edge metal, flashing, gutters, curbs, and other roofing components.
* Ensure waterproofing and quality control standards are met, including watertightness and final punch list completion.
* Prepare and submit daily job reports, timesheets, and requisitions; communicate technical questions and field progress.
* Train, supervise, and coach crew members and subcontractors to achieve production and quality goals.
* Meet with GCs and customers as needed to maintain strong project relationships.
* Attend coordination and planning meetings with management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Strong knowledge of roofing systems and installation methods, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, edge metals, flashing, coping, gutters, and waterproofing systems.
* Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, roof layouts, and construction documents.
* Proficiency in material calculations, stretch outs, and labor projections.
* Skilled in operating roofing tools and equipment; knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments while solving problems effectively.
* Competency in completing and submitting required paperwork accurately and on time.
* Familiarity with safety planning, OSHA compliance, and job-site risk management.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing experience (Foreman or Lead preferred).
* Proven experience managing and training crews in roofing installations.
* Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
* Manufacturer certifications a plus (training will be provided).
* Ability to meet the physical demands of roofing work, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various conditions.
