The primary goals we have for our certification programs are to both assist law enforcement and organizations requiring highly skilled investigators in the identification of highly skilled individuals, and to promote the training and education efforts within the computer investigation, computer forensic and computer security industries.
The External CFCE process is open to qualified applicants who believe that they have the necessary training and experience to become a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner. The applicant must submit an application, along with a required fee, in order to be considered for the process.
ABMDI certification documents that you have voluntarily submitted to examination, proves that you adhere to high ethical standards and have attained the knowledge and skills necessary to perform comprehensive, quality death investigations. This certification can assist the courts and public in evaluating your competence.
The GCFE certification is for professionals working or interested in the information security, legal and law enforcement industries with a need to understand computer forensic analysis. The certification focuses on core skills required to collect and analyze data from Windows computer systems. The GCFE certifies that candidates have the knowledge, skills, and ability to conduct typical incident investigations including e-Discovery, forensic analysis and reporting, evidence acquisition, browser forensics and tracing user and application activities on Windows systems.
