Shares the responsibility with the Lead Mechanic for providing training to other departmental personnel/apprentices, including safety procedures.
Individual must know the plant emergency procedures for the handling and disposing of solid or liquid waste.
Shares the responsibility with Electrical/Instrument personnel for promptly notifying production personnel of equipment or process malfunctions.
Refers unusual problems to Lead Mechanic or Supervisor.
Performs required base craft duties as well as all other duties assigned to maintain the plant.
Must work on and around moving equipment ensuring LOTO has been performed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Individual must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands.
Also must have completed at least four years of industrial mechanical maintenance work or relevant military experience.
A completed approved four year apprentice program will also be considered.
