About the Role
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join a leading technology manufacturing facility in Tualatin, Oregon. You'll play a key role in the receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials.
Package and prepare products for shipment, including weighing and labeling.
Validate materials against purchase orders and maintain accurate records.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
Complete material transactions in SAP and other inventory systems.

Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.

This role plays a key part in maintaining material flow throughout the operation while also supporting local transportation needs and providing leadership within the warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of shipping, receiving, and material handling tasks to maintain efficient workflow throughout the facility.
Operate lift trucks, balers, roll grabs, palletizing presses, manual strappers, and stretch wrappers.
Keep production machines supplied with appropriate paper while maintaining safe driving habits.
Weigh and record all machine waste, maintain accurate waste records, and bale and store salvage paper.
Stage, load, and unload finished goods and raw materials for shipping and storage.
Stack, pull, and put away finished goods and other materials as needed or directed.
Weigh return rolls, assign bin locations, and complete required documentation accurately.
Unload incoming trucks and properly store raw materials in designated locations.
Learn and perform all phases of the packaging and finishing process.
Maintain proper flow of paperwork and utilize computer systems related to inventory and shipping.
Ensure job safety checklists are completed and follow all lift truck safety rules.
Maintain compliance with all food safety and quality standards at all times.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to warehouse team members.
Cover for the Warehouse Manager during absences.
Driver Responsibilities:
Inspect delivery trucks before and after trips.
Monitor truck maintenance and report repair needs.
Assist with or oversee loading and unloading of cargo.
Maintain accurate logs of cargo weight, mileage, and arrival/departure times.
Transport local cargo safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
Qualifications:
Non-excepted interstate driver certification with valid DOT medical clearance.
Forklift certification required.
Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal communication and customer service abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
Ability to lead by example and support team members as needed.
Work Conditions & Schedule:
Eight (8), Ten (10), or Twelve (12) hour shifts.
Overtime as required.
Exposure to changing temperatures, humidity, fumes, and mechanical equipment.
Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all food safety and quality procedures.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Senior Material Handler
* Operate lift truck, baler, and roll grab
* Weigh and record all waste from machines
* Bale and store all salvage paper
* Keep machines supplied with appropriate paper, maintaining safe driving habits
* Maintain accurate waste records
* Learn to perform all phases of the packaging and finishing process; including the operation of the necessary equipment: palletizing press, manual strapper and stretch wrapper
* Be able to stack/put-up into and pull finished goods (and other materials as needed) from the warehouse as either needed or directed
* Must have and/or develop skills necessary to read, understand and maintain proper flow of paper work related to the position, including computer knowledge

* Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to follow directions, both verbal and written
* Be aware of and follow all lift truck safety rules
* Ensure that job safety checklist has been completed, assuming this job position
* Weigh return rolls and put bin location on pink tag copy before turning in
* Unload trucks and put Raw materials away
* Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met at all times
* Cover for Warehouse Manager in case of absence
* Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
Driver
* Non-excepted interstate driver certification
* Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
* Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck
* Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo
* Maintains logs recording cargo weight, arrival and departure times, and miles traveled
Experience:
* Requires non-excepted interstate driver certification/ DOT Medical Clearance
* Strong organizational skills
