Position Overview: The Driver - Forklift & Telehandler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment to support industrial and commercial construction projects.     Essential Responsibilities: Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility, according to storage requirements, shelf-life regulations, and staging procedures. Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions. Ensuring loads are properly secure, including performing material handling procedures to correctly stack, palletize, ship, and move material. Stacking and storage of empty pallets, crates, etc. Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment. Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places. Disposal of waste materials/recyclables through the use and movement of machine hoppers, roll-offs, and other required equipment. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. Perform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials, examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment. This position can alternate between outdoor and indoor environments, potentially exposing employees to environmental hazards.
