Wright Manufacturing, Inc. (WMI), an award-winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Internal Logistics Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, earning overtime at time and one half for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 4:00pm to 12:30am. Occasional work on Saturdays may be needed as workflows dictate. *Opportunity for overtime is available but not guaranteed Starting between $21-23 per hour (including shift differential) Primary Duties include: · Operate LP sit-down forklift to support our Crating Line (sit down forklift) · Manage Finished Goods inventory for your shift · Respond to radio calls from Group Leaders and Team Leaders to perform forklift duties as requested (stand up/sit down forklift) · Ensure proper FIFO inventory processes are followed always · Daily inspection of Toyota forklift · Waste stream management- transport cardboard, empty pallets, wood scrap, etc. to proper locations and process accordingly (baling, transporting product outside) · Inventory Control/stocking home locations for assigned aisles (mostly stand up forklift) · Assist in 5S Methodology (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and manage warehouse housekeeping assignments · Assist with special projects and rework as necessary · Contribute to and participate in Kaizen projects to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Requirements: Qualified candidates for the role of Electric Forklift Operator should be able to demonstrate: · Extensive sit-down forklift experience required within a fast-paced manufacturing environment · Stand up forklift experience a huge plus · RF Equipment experience a plus · Strong attention to detail · Consistent work history · Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled · Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment · Excellent attendance record · Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance · Positive, team player attitude · Strong, independent work ethic · Good organizational skills WMI is committed to cross-training and inter-department personnel movements.
