Overview
Primary responsibilities: working in a three week rotation receipting back orders, inventory counts, morning mail run and parts returns. Additional responsibilities: shipping/receiving, hose assembly, inventory storage, and order picking activities for the Parts Department.
Basic Duties
Complete required paperwork and computer data entry.
Provide primary material handling duties within the department
Assist customers and shop personnel by pulling orders and other needs as required.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This position works in both a warehouse environment with some outside exposure and office environment. May, on a continuous basis sit at a desk for long periods of time, answer phone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. May on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75 pounds. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the office is usually low and the noise level in the warehouse may range from low to moderate. Must be flexible during peak season to work overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required to deliver parts to customers. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Dryer Operator ensures that liquid intermediate product is spray dried, meeting all specifications set on the finished product, and following all Safety, Quality and Food Safety procedures of the company. The Dryer Operator is in charge of managing and monitoring up to 3 spray drying equipment. The position reports directly to the Supervisor, but may also receive direction from Superintendent or other management personnel as required. This position is 6 PM - 6 AM on a rotational schedule.
What you'll do as a Dryer Operator
The drying of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Dryer Operator to train and work in other departments on a periodic basis in order to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
* Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
* Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
* Monitor quality assurance controls during the production process. For example, product analysis, and code date verifications are performed on a routine basis to ensure the customer receives a quality product. Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
* Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
* Inspect dryer infrastructure, monitor dryer equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
* Assist in trouble-shooting of equipment and process problems.
* Notify Supervisor of equipment failures and when major process problems or variations in the process are detected.
* Communicate and interact with other employees and management personnel in a respectful and effective manner.
* Learn all equipment in Drying. Cover shifts as scheduled.
* Train and work in other departments in the facility as needed. This may include, cleaning, and filling in for various absences throughout the facility. Work is assigned depending upon operational needs.

Proper usage and compliance with warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP). Follows internal protocol for inventory accuracy and customer compliance.
Loads and unloads trailers and rail cars in a safe manner as to not damage product or physical assets of Travero or customer.
Spots and loads or unloads railcars, and trucks/trailers.
Operates train unloading equipment, switches railcars, walks railcars prior to movement and aligns track switches.
Applies railcar hand brakes, connects railcar air hoses, changes railcar air hoses, provides point protection for shoving movements. Checks and cleans tracks of obstructions that could cause derailment.
Inspects safety appliances prior to mounting/moving all equipment. Uses proper radio communications, keeps material handling equipment neat, clean and operating properly.
Performs all work according to established procedures and safety practices.

The Dryer Operator ensures that liquid intermediate product is spray dried, meeting all specifications set on the finished product, and following all Safety, Quality and Food Safety procedures of the company. The Dryer Operator is in charge of managing and monitoring up to 3 spray drying equipment. The position reports directly to the Supervisor, but may also receive direction from Superintendent or other management personnel as required. This position is 6 PM - 6 AM on a rotational schedule.
What you'll do as a Dryer Operator
The drying of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Dryer Operator to train and work in other departments on a periodic basis in order to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
Monitor quality assurance controls during the production process. For example, product analysis, and code date verifications are performed on a routine basis to ensure the customer receives a quality product. Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
Inspect dryer infrastructure, monitor dryer equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
Assist in trouble-shooting of equipment and process problems.
Notify Supervisor of equipment failures and when major process problems or variations in the process are detected.
Communicate and interact with other employees and management personnel in a respectful and effective manner.
Learn all equipment in Drying. Cover shifts as scheduled.
Train and work in other departments in the facility as needed. This may include, cleaning, and filling in for various absences throughout the facility. Work is assigned depending upon operational needs.

Job Purpose
Facilitate the transport of coal and by-products, manage the coal pile, and by-product handling and storage.
Specific Responsibilities
Facilitate the management of coal and by-products, including:
Operate the equipment for the unloading of the coal train. This includes train car inspections and the operating of locomotive engines and coal handling/unloading computers.
Perform coal and by-product sampling, dozing, loading, scooping, hauling and pile formation and/or removal.
Operate MPW heavy equipment on public and private property. Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting along with completing all required documentation.
Operate and troubleshoot dust collectors.
Perform landfill inspections and maintain the landfill facilities.
Accurately complete all environmental documentation.
Other Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment as well as material handling and auxiliary equipment, in conjunction with Vehicle Maintenance. Document issues and report problems to immediate Supervisor.
Make suggestions on system operation improvements.
Acquire sufficient knowledge to fill the position of temporary Supervisor when appointed by immediate Supervisor.

Maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the department. Utilize lean principles and other continuous improvement tools in an effort to maximize the efficiency of the department.

Qualifications
Knowledge
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience operating heavy equipment associated with handling coal, limestone, and coal combustion residues (CCR) preferred. This includes, but is not limited to, dozers, end loaders, trucks, conveying equipment, dust suppression and collection equipment, fly ash silo and hydrobins, and train engines.
Knowledge of, or ability to learn, operating railroad engines or locomotives within first 12 months in the position.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all audiences, including customers.
