The Stores Operations Team is a hands-on group involved in all aspects of inventory management and warehouse logistics for Con Edison. The Stock Handler is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory, and in certain locations, the handling of waste products to support various internal customers. Perform yard operations and spare part operations, including: picking, loading, measuring cable, tagging reels, inventories, coil cutting and fabrication, re-reeling, transformer operations, crane/rigging operation etc. Perform environmental administrative and manual work such as inspecting and maintaining storage areas, spill notification/clean up, manifesting waste on EMIS and logging drums in and out on tracking forms (hard copy and computer) and on computer tracking programs. Load and unload material or drums on to vehicles with lifting devices, which includes picking and packaging company and vendor materials. Make safety the first priority and identify any potential safety and environmental hazards. We seek experienced individuals to setup and operate the following CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, WaterJet, Laser, Swiss Screw Machines and Wire EDM equipment. Programming and manufacturing experience REQ D (WE WILL NOT TRAIN YOU, ONLY PERSONS WITH EXPERIENCE PLEASE APPLY) Candidates must work independently and have 3 + years experience. We use late model equipment from Mori Seiki, Fadal, Star, Flow, Amada and Mitsubishi. Our facility is ISO 9001:2000/ AS 9100, The shop is temperature controlled (winter and summer). Requirements: Metal working experience Auto CAD/CAM experience is a must for programmers. The ability to operate a CNC machining center for operator employment. The ability to fix minor machine hardware and software problems for set up persons if required. The ability to foresee problems before they occur and correct them at the programming phase. The ability to think out of the box, while being able to take direct instruction. The know-how to read, examine, and understand blueprints. The ability to draft and correct if and when needed for programmers Work overtime and Saturdays as needed. The ability to occasionally direct people.
