Morrison Is looking for Full Time Service Technicians in our Grand Rapids, MI location. This position would utilize a company vehicle within the greater Grand Rapids area and therefore requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license. This team member works Monday-Friday, first shift hours, and works 40 hours a week with the opportunity for overtime. The job is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment. Laptop, tablet, cell phone, and paid training are provided.

We train people that have been working in the industry and who are new to it. Once hired, technicians will automatically be enrolled in our training program. The program and training are completely paid for and offer Classroom training, hands-on/job shadow training, E-Learning, and mentoring.

No tools, no problem! Our “Tools for Technicians” program provides all the tools you need upon onboarding. It’s an 18-month program and when completed the tools are property of the tech! Throughout the training, we offer multiple opportunities to gain certifications and put money in your pocket that can be used for more/new tools.

Requirements

All Road Technicians will be traveling to and working at customer facilities, interacting and communicating with customers to keep their equipment operating safely and efficiently

Road Technicians are responsible for providing the best possible service, maintenance, diagnosis and repair on customer and company equipment

Battery maintenance and basic electronic repairs

The job of Road Technician is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a variety of awkward positions while repairing forklifts and any other job related machinery

Must have manual dexterity and strength to handle parts, tools and equipment.

The job also requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds

Technical experience in repairs of electric, gas and LP forklifts a must

All Technicians must have their own tools and a good driving record

**Internal Title:** Field Service Technician

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.

+ Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.

+ Maintain a service van and its inventory.

+ Process paperwork after completion of each job.

**Qualifications:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

+ Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.

+ Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.

+ Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
