Role Description
This position, reporting to the Manager of People Partnership, is a high-level strategic and operational individual contributor partner to our leaders, focused on our Product Engineering teams in California. A successful individual in this role will help define and drive the people strategy for a major business unit of the company. This individual will be a player-coach, providing both strategic guidance and sleeves-rolled-up concrete problem solving. They will be excited by a fast-paced, evolving work environment where they can tactically shape the success of their client groups for years to come.
This role will require working from our Berkeley, CA location at least 4 days per week.
What you'll do:
* Strategic Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner and coach to senior leadership, including our VP of Product Engineering. Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support growth and the future phases of the business.
* Execution and Problem Solving: Identify issues, challenge assumptions, and proactively run problems to ground as they arise. Operate autonomously, with an execution mindset, and maximize your accountability for getting the on-the-ground work done.
* Organizational Transformation: Lead and drive key organizational transformations, including integrating new teams, optimizing reporting structures, and ensuring the People strategy aligns with business goals.
* Talent Programs: Drive talent strategies and programs, such as performance management, career pathing, and succession planning. Partner with HR leadership to identify new program needs.
* Site and Culture Leadership: Function as a visible and trusted site HR leader for the California workforce, driving alignment amongst teams. Partner with the Employee Experience Specialist and Engagement team to drive action on employee engagement in the California office.
* Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance and support on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and legal compliance. Expertly and expediently conduct and close out investigations and employee relations concerns.
* Data-Driven Insights: Use People data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and identify trends within the organization.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with other People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Benefits & Support teams, to design and deliver seamless People programs and services.
What you'll bring:
* 9+ years of progressive HR / People Partner experience, with at least 3-5 years supporting a product or engineering organization in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
* Proven track record of leading organizational transformations and managing large-scale change initiatives.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to connect People strategy to business outcomes.

Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a highly skilled supply chain professional to develop and execute the sourcing strategy for battery system-level components to be used in Form's pioneering iron-air battery systems. As part of our GSM team, you will be involved in researching markets, identifying and engaging with suppliers, developing and executing sourcing strategies, and managing key supplier relationships in collaboration with key cross-functional teams. What you'll do:
* Own the Systems-level component category, and build and maintain partnerships with our strategic suppliers to support our next-gen energy storage system scale-up; the Systems-level BOM includes electrical parts such as circuit breakers, load centers, sensors, and wiring etc, as well as mechanical components such as pumps, heaters, conduit, etc.
* Act as the primary contact with suppliers on contract and pricing negotiations, development and production lead times, escalations and resolution
* Drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers based on cost-models and analyses of current market conditions to ensure Form receives best-in-class pricing
* Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and future-proof our sourcing strategy for the Systems category
* Collaborate closely with Form's Leadership, Supply Chain, Engineering and Strategic Supply teams to define and drive execution of Form's Systems sourcing strategy
What you'll bring:
* At least 3 years of strategic sourcing, category management, or similar applicable experience in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
* Deep expertise managing procurement for bulk-purchased off-the-shelf and customized components for use in in battery systems or other similar products, through distribution channels as well as directly from manufacturers
* Outstanding data evaluation and analysis skills
* Excellent communication skills; experience presenting clear recommendations to leadership to drive strategic and operational decision making

Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Senior Compliance Test Engineer in our Berkeley, CA office. This is an opportunity to have a direct and daily impact in an exciting energy technology startup. You will work closely with the product development teams to guide designs to comply with safety and performance standards as defined by UL, IEEE, IEC, IBC, NFPA and others. You will represent Form Energy with industry groups, safety committees, and codes panels to ensure positive outcomes which enable the rapid scale up of this critical technology.
You will be responsible for developing regulatory testing protocols which become part of our standard product qualification process and which ensure successful and timely delivery of product certifications. Leading up to product launch, you will be responsible for driving product certifications, including certification project management, coordination with NRTLs, traveling to test sites, setting up and performing tests, writing test reports, and communication of certification strategies and results with customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
What you'll do:
* Drive the product certification testing for Form Energy's iron-air battery cell, module, and system
* Develop new test methods and build new test equipment for product safety and compliance testing
* Evaluate product designs and provide input to align the design with regulatory standards at an early stage of development
* Define and perform product safety validation testing during the product development process, prior to certification activities
* Perform certification testing on site and travel to perform tests at remote NRTL and other laboratory facilities
* Prepare test reports for compliance authorities, AHJs, and various industry groups, safety committees, standards and code development panels as needed to help drive code development efforts at the company
* Maintain written product requirements documents to ensure product contains all required regulatory features
What you'll bring:
* 5+ years experience in compliance or safety testing for an energy storage system, battery, or other energy product
* BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or similar) required
* Direct experience in product development within an early stage environment
* Familiarity with existing codes and standards and certification processes, especially in relation to energy storage systems
* Hands-on aptitude and experience working safely and independently with power supplies, hand tools and other potentially dangerous equipment
* Willingness to travel up to 20% with the potential to work in inclement weather

Role Description
The Test Engineering team at Form is responsible for testing, operating, and maintaining our full-scale system prototypes. We're looking for an experienced field technician to join our team in Berkeley, CA and help us bring our groundbreaking battery system to life.

What you'll bring:
* 7+ years of hands-on experience as a field technician working with high-power equipment; experience with battery or solar systems is a plus.
* Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical issues in high-voltage systems and able to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
* Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including CAN Bus and Modbus, for system-level debugging.

Role Description
The Mechanical Engineering team at Form is responsible for designing the battery cell, module, and system enclosure that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and lead design efforts for crucial parts of our iron-air battery integrated structures. You'll bring components and assemblies from concept to into mass production, with a strong emphasis on structural design, weatherproofing, and manufacturability of metal enclosures. As a problem solver, you'll creatively tackle mechanical design challenges and apply your design knowledge of sheet metal, weldments, plastics, and sealing systems for mass production. You'll work cross-functionally with teams on requirements definition, verification plans, and failure analysis to deliver a design that meets those requirements. Troubleshooting design problems as they arise and working to implement improvements will also be a part of your responsibilities. * Perform hands-on prototyping of designs and collaborate with broader teams to build integrated prototypes

* Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks modeling and drafting using GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
* Proficient in component design for mass manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), especially sheet metal, stampings, weldments and extruded components
* Proficient with prototyping techniques and working in a machine shop environment
* Familiarity with mechanical verification testing

Form Energy is hiring Firmware Engineers to drive the development of a productized battery management and control system. As part of our firmware team, you will write the firmware to bring our multi-Day storage battery system to life. What you'll do:
* Develop microcontroller firmware for embedded systems, sensors, and power flow control circuitry for our Battery Management System (BMS).
* Derive software and hardware specifications and design features based on product requirements to meet UL 1998 and UL 5500 standards.
* Work with an interdisciplinary group of engineers on the Systems Team to define concepts, down-select designs, and optimize the new groundbreaking technology.
* Support product deployment and field activities, including troubleshooting and debugging firmware in field environments to ensure performance and reliability.
* Contribute to the unit and integration testing suite, and coordinate with the system and test team, to allow continuous delivery of high-quality firmware.
* Adhere to and raise the bar on the firmware engineering processes and best practices.
What you'll bring:

* 4+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded and RTOS systems; direct experience working on firmware for battery management or power electronics is a plus.
* Extensive experience using C/C++ for embedded systems in real-time, multithreaded control applications.
* Knowledge of peripheral communication protocols such as I2C and SPI, and component-to-component protocols like Modbus and CAN.
* Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, including the ability to read and understand schematics and troubleshoot hardware interfaces.
* Familiarity with software compliance standards (e.g., MISRA, ISO 26262, CMMI, ASPICE, or UL 1998).

Form Energy is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our Test Infrastructure team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and delivery of test equipment that enables the execution of critical tests across our iron-air battery systems and supporting hardware. Role Description
Form Energy is hiring an experienced Senior Electrical Engineering Technician to support Electrical Development and Test of our Battery Management System. You will own the fabrication and support of key prototypes, production hardware, and PCBA reworks. * Safely perform electrical tests, such as verifying absence of energy, ground continuity measurements, thermal measurements and torque checks
* Perform light mechanical work, including crimping, punching, drilling, bending, cutting and deburring of metal and plastic
* Place purchase requisitions for components in a bill of materials, as well as generic hardware, such as fasteners, enclosures, wire and fittings based on the application
* Occasional local travel to pilot sites to perform retrofits, reworks, tests, inspections, calibrations - with opportunities for out-of-state travel to perform these functions at other field sites

What you'll bring:
* 5+ years experience as a technician or in a hands-on technical role working with PCBA SMT soldering and reworks.
* Adept at using various types of equipment and materials, including soldering irons, hot air rework stations, solder paste, flux, PCBA inspection tools, de soldering tools, digital multimeters, and wire crimping and stripping tools.
* Comfortable working with bench power supplies, DAQs, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads; exposure to test and data acquisition automation is a plus.
* Familiarity with common electrical components, including contractors, fuses, ferrules, DIN power supplies, transformers and breakers.
* Keen awareness and practice of safety in the workplace, especially around high voltages and energy storage devices; experience with NFPA 70E a plus.
* Knowledge of different electrical terminations and how to robustly make them - from mechanical and compression lugs, to busbars, to wire-to-board connectors.
* Exemplary workmanship in electronics assembly, wire routing, component and cable fixturing, crimping, splicing and electromechanical rework, as well as the ability to inspect the work of others.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret technical designs, suggest improvements, summarize observations, and absorb information and service requirements.

Role Description

Role Description
We are seeking an experienced project engineer to lead the engineering of utility-scale projects utilizing Form's multi-day energy storage product. Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Staff Software Platform Engineer to be part of our growing Software Engineering organization. This organization is responsible for everything up and down our technology software stack, and is at the heart of making sure Form's battery achieves the best performance possible. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape, and be part of a fast moving company, working on breakthrough technology, and an incredible mission.
The Platform team is responsible for deploying and maintaining common, cloud-based software and data infrastructure used across the company. This includes everything from our Snowflake data warehouse, to the K8s (EKS) clusters used to run our software, to the streaming platform that processes telemetry data from our product in the field. This role is intended to be a technical lead for cloud infrastructure development and management, and will work closely with a distributed team of data and platform engineers. A key focus of this role is to improve the reliability, security, and cost effectiveness of our software and data infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to bring your cloud engineering expertise to help advance the development of our transformational multi-day energy storage systems.
What you'll do:
* Cloud architecture including leading the design, deployment, and maintenance of software and data infrastructure used across Form to advance product design, engineering, manufacturing, and operations
* Manage existing AWS infrastructure and lead its transition to the Well-Architected Framework
* Establish standards for security, performance, and up-time of software infrastructure, and ensure these are met with the help of the Platform team and other Software teams
* Standardize observability, monitoring, and alerting tools used across the organization
* Implement IaC for existing infrastructure when possible, and lead and advise on IaC deployment for new infrastructure
* Collaborate with other teams across the company to define infrastructure requirements for products including web applications, data pipelines, machine learning models, physics simulation models, and grid planning models
What you'll bring:
* 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and/or maintaining software and data infrastructure, preferably with extensive experience using AWS
* Strong command of python or go, and wizardry on the command line
* Evangelism for cloud security best practices and experience meeting standards like ISO 27001, UL 2900 or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
* Experience working with container orchestration tools, ideally AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) or Elastic Container Service (ECS); experience with Helm and ArgoCD desirable
* Networking fundamentals as they relate to K8s, site-to-site VPNs, and security
* Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools like Pulumi, Terraform, and Ansible
* Curiosity, creativity, and tenacity when it comes to problem solving
* Experience working at both growth-phase startups and mid-to-large enterprises

Role Description
At Form Energy, the Plastics Engineering team develops robust, high-performance components that meet the demanding requirements of long-duration energy storage. We design for safety, reliability, manufacturability, and scalability-creating parts that perform consistently from prototype through high-volume production.
We're seeking a hands-on Senior Plastics Design Engineer to lead the design and development of plastic components for our next-generation product. This role spans the entire lifecycle-from concept and material selection through design sign-off and production launch. You'll work across multiple plastics manufacturing processes, including injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, rotational molding, and vacuum forming. Success in this role requires strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks), a deep understanding of polymer material behavior, and solid grounding in DFM, GD&T, and tool design.
You'll participate in internal design reviews, define specifications and testing requirements, and collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to ensure quality, cost, and performance goals are achieved. Role Description
The Cell Engineering team within the Technology group at Form is multidisciplinary and focused on delivering qualified battery cell designs that meet operational performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.
We're hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Cell Engineering Design team in Berkeley, CA. In this role, you will design plastic components for our iron-air battery cells. There will be a particular focus on injection molded plastics, and you will take the lead on design, test plan development, and validation testing of your components. This role will work closely with our manufacturing engineering team to define and support battery cell assembly process and equipment design. You will bring a willingness to become an expert in designing plastic components for manufacturing with injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, or similar processes. You will also get hands-on experience with plastic joining methods, such as laser or hot-plate welding. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of scaling our multi-day energy storage system at Form and contributing to a sustainable future!
What you'll do:
* Design molded plastic components for implementation in Form Energy's iron-air battery cells
* Own analysis, prototyping, and failure analysis efforts for plastic components
