Role Description
The Business Development & Analytics team at Form Energy is looking for a Staff Commercial Analyst to support the Commercial Analytics group within the team. As a senior member of the Analytics team, you will work closely with Form's Commercial Operations team, Battery Product Management team, and other Form teams to develop customer accounts, ultimately resulting in deployments of Form Energy's multi-day storage product. In these engagements, you will lead the Analytics team's effort to translate customer needs and pain points into a quantifiable framework. You will use or manage the use of a variety of data and modeling tools in conjunction with commercial acumen and other techniques to:
Determine the suitable project configurations (mix of storage and other technologies),
Quantify the value that Form Energy's product can deliver to customers,
The drivers of that value.
You will create compelling narratives and data-driven pitches to articulate this value to Form Energy's current and future customers. You will build simple pro-forma models to translate optimization model outputs into commercial pricing proposals and customer prioritization efforts. Where Form's existing suite of tools and data cannot deliver the results necessary, you will prototype new features and work with the Analytics team's Product Management function as well as Form Energy's Software Engineering and Software R&D functions to scope and build new tools to uncover and deliver customer value.
This is a hybrid role, which will require working onsite from one of our locations in Berkeley, CA, Somerville, MA or Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV at least 3 days per week. Relocation assistance is available.
What you'll do:
Provide and/or manage the core value analysis that drives our project proposals for our customers by mapping customer requirements to economic and optimization model specifications, aggregating and cleaning data, and setting up and running complex, optimization-based models
Interpret and visualize model outputs ("storytelling with data") and perform simple financial analysis (quick pro-forma modeling) to effectively communicate value
Be the voice of the value proposition / analysis for the customers in Form's internal deal processes
Work with Form's Analytics Product Management, Software Engineering, and Commercial Operations teams to improve our processes around analytics projects, resulting in faster, more effective, and more profitable engagements
Formulate production-quality requirements for developing new tools or features that allow Form to communicate or deliver differentiated value
Create collateral-slides, memos, papers-and storytelling techniques to communicate deeply technical and complex analyses in a clear and concise fashion to internal and external stakeholders
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, or other technical subjects
5 to 10 years commercial experience (depending on seniority level targeted and degree(s)), or a combination of graduate school and experience in commercial energy storage modeling or capacity expansion planning
Deep understanding of U.S. power market fundamentals and dynamics; Experience with EMEA and/or APAC markets desirable
Ability to solve problems at the interface of optimization, energy, and project development
Ability to collect and organize large data sets, run extensive quantitative analysis to address complex questions, and present results in clear, compelling ways
Experience scoping and managing projects that rely on complex, data-intensive models

Role Description
We are seeking a Staff Global Supply Manager to support our engineering and manufacturing teams in the sourcing of capital equipment for current and future production projects across multiple Form Energy manufacturing locations. Form Energy is hiring a Lead Payroll Analyst to support our Payroll Team with system optimization, strategic reporting, data analysis and audits, while providing backup support for payroll processing and lifecycle events. What you'll do:
Optimize the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including calculating wages, overtime, differentials, complex time & attendance schedules, and variable pay. May include performing payroll administration tasks as needed.
Lead the relationship with Payroll Vendor (APD) to maximize system capabilities as well as the internal coordination of HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless data integration. Drive system upgrade projects as needed.

Role Description

Form Energy is seeking a Night Shift Training Technician to join our team at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, supporting the Anode and GDE lines.
In this role, you will be critical to the success of our production workforce by ensuring all Production Associates are fully trained, proficient, and compliant with all production processes and safety standards. Role Description
This is an opportunity to have a direct and daily impact in an exciting American energy technology and manufacturing company. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is at the forefront of delivering top level support, being part of a service leading department.
In this role, we are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing factory facilities utility, equipment and control systems, as well as building operations. This person will be responsible for making sure our facilities equipment runs smoothly and will be supporting our technical operations. The ideal candidate will be able to independently execute day-to-day operations and maintenance activities as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves to quickly tackle facility service and repair issues. You will work closely with all members of the Form Energy team to contribute to sustaining a world class facility. This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 - Form Energy's 550,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. What you'll do:
Become familiar with and be the main point of contact for Equipment Asset Management.
Maintain regular inventory management control of the facility equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and root cause analysis on all facilities equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, building HVAC, air compressors, electrical, fire alarm/suppression, fire extinguishers, and eyewash stations.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new and retrofit facilities & manufacturing equipment. Fabricate, assemble and install facility utilities for equipment, as needed.
Become proficient with our Computerized Maintenance Management System, Maintain X to use it to perform tasks to complete work requests, develop & track facilities equipment preventative maintenance schedules, and record & process findings of maintenance duties.
Become proficient using our Building Automation System software to monitor all factory electrical & mechanical utility controls systems connected to it and diagnose & repair faults with facility equipment.
What you'll bring:
An electrical journeyman's license or master electrician with 5+ years of experience or equivalent. NFPA 70E trained.
An electrical controls & calibration background with 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
HVAC technician certification.
Refrigeration license EPA 608 certification.
Boilermaker qualifications with 5+ years of experience through apprenticeship. NCCER certification is a plus.
Water Operator West Virginia or another state license, Class 1 or above.
Certified SMAW 6G certified pipe welder with 5+ years of experience.
Steamfitter or pipefitter journeyman level 5+ years of experience through apprenticeship.
5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus in facilities maintenance and troubleshooting with equipment, fabrication, installation of building systems utilities and great customer service.

The Quality Technician based in Weirton, WV will perform a vital role as a hands-on quality team member at Form Energy. Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior manager of production within the manufacturing operations department to drive forward the manufacturing of Form Energy's iron-air batteries. What you'll do:
Lead manufacturing teams in Form Factory 1 across various production lines generating battery components and finished goods
Develop and evaluate metrics to gauge operational health, meet production goals, and continuously improve the operation
Evaluate, select, and implement industry leading production best-practices, collaborating closely with various departments such as supply chain, quality control, warehousing, engineering, and maintenance
Select, train, and mentor team members in a growing production environment, identifying organization needs well in advance through headcount and build planning
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on identified challenges with a strong focus on continuous improvement efforts, using data driven decision making tied to OEE and other key operational metrics
Develop training methodologies for effectively onboarding staff and scaling an organization
Develop implementation plans, timelines, budgets and metrics/reporting for adopting and integrating best practices in coordination with project managers, department leaders, and senior management
What you'll bring:
10+ years of direct experience in operations and manufacturing, ideally in the battery industry or similar environment, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility over time and delivering results

History of scaling operations and receiving transfers of new production lines and equipment, acting in the role of the end customer and identifying operational challenges early

Role Description
We are looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician, to support our manufacturing and factory build operations. This person will be responsible for making sure our equipment runs smoothly and supporting our technical operations. Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Superintendent to drive custom manufacturing equipment installations. This role reports to our Senior Manager of Tool Installation. As part of our Form Factory 1 team, you will contribute to bringing our first factory manufacturing lines into production in partnership with Engineering, Operations and Construction teams. This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 - Form Energy's 550,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Weirton, WV, a commutable distance from Pittsburgh. Purpose-built for high-volume, advanced battery production, Form Factory 1 is a hub of fast-moving, collaborative work driving a new era of large-scale American energy manufacturing in the heart of the Rust Belt. What you'll do:
Plan and direct the installation of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Communicate project status, schedules, and budgets to stakeholders and senior management.
Supervise and motivate installation teams, ensuring their safety and that quality standards are met.
Coordinate with other departments and suppliers to ensure all materials and equipment are available on site when required.
Provide high-level oversight to ensure installations are completed in accordance with contracts, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
Provide technical support to the installation team as needed and ensure that all installations are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
What you'll bring:
2+ years of managing installations including experience leading and supervising teams OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ experience managing installations
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
Strong technical knowledge, with a deep understanding of installation practices, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to work independently, with a high level of self-motivation and drive.

Role Description
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Thermal Equipment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience in machine design and a strong background in thermal analysis. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of our stand-alone thermal equipment, from initial concept and design through to fabrication and testing. This role is perfect for a self-starter who enjoys both the theoretical aspects of thermal engineering and the practical challenges of building robust machinery.

Form Factory 1 is located in Weirton, WV in a 500,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility full of rapid team collaboration, R&D, and HVM battery production. Our facility is in the heart of the rust belt, where legacy meets innovation (while still a commutable distance to Pittsburgh!).
What you'll do:
Design and develop new stand-alone thermal equipment, including proof of concepts and full-scale production machines.
Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings of machine components and assemblies using CAD software.
Perform basic thermal analysis to ensure equipment meets performance and efficiency requirements. This includes calculating heat loads, heat transfer rates, and temperature profiles.
Select and size critical components, including motors, drives, sensors, heaters, and heat exchangers (e.g., shell and tube, plate, or finned-tube).
Design and analyze welded steel machine frames and structures to ensure structural integrity and stability.
Specify and select appropriate materials for various components, considering thermal, mechanical, and environmental factors.
Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and to resolve any issues during the build process.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and operational manuals.
Conduct hands-on testing and validation of prototypes to verify performance and design compliance.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience 4-7 years in machine design, particularly with stand-alone equipment.
Experience with roller hearth, batch, and continuous belt furnaces/kilns
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
Demonstrable experience with machine design - particularly in the areas of stand alone process equipment, mechanical facilities used for complex HVACD management, etc.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components, including the ability to select motors, drives, and sensors for specific applications.
Experience with the selection and sizing of heat exchangers and other thermal components.
Familiarity with performing basic thermal calculations and analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
