Role Description Form Energy is hiring a highly skilled supply chain professional to develop and execute the sourcing strategy for battery system-level components to be used in Form's pioneering iron-air battery systems. As part of our GSM team, you will be involved in researching markets, identifying and engaging with suppliers, developing and executing sourcing strategies, and managing key supplier relationships in collaboration with key cross-functional teams. Role Description Form Energy is hiring a Senior Compliance Test Engineer in our Berkeley, CA office. This is an opportunity to have a direct and daily impact in an exciting energy technology startup. You will work closely with the product development teams to guide designs to comply with safety and performance standards as defined by UL, IEEE, IEC, IBC, NFPA and others. You will represent Form Energy with industry groups, safety committees, and codes panels to ensure positive outcomes which enable the rapid scale up of this critical technology. You will be responsible for developing regulatory testing protocols which become part of our standard product qualification process and which ensure successful and timely delivery of product certifications. Leading up to product launch, you will be responsible for driving product certifications, including certification project management, coordination with NRTLs, traveling to test sites, setting up and performing tests, writing test reports, and communication of certification strategies and results with customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and lead design efforts for crucial parts of our iron-air battery integrated structures. You'll bring components and assemblies from concept to into mass production, with a strong emphasis on structural design, weatherproofing, and manufacturability of metal enclosures. As a problem solver, you'll creatively tackle mechanical design challenges and apply your design knowledge of sheet metal, weldments, plastics, and sealing systems for mass production. You'll work cross-functionally with teams on requirements definition, verification plans, and failure analysis to deliver a design that meets those requirements. In this role you will be responsible for the design and delivery of test equipment that enables the execution of critical tests across our iron-air battery systems and supporting hardware. The scope of your work will range from simple electrical characterization setups to complex automated systems managing airflow, electrolyte handling, high-power distribution, hydrogen management, control systems, etc. A key focus of this role will be supporting the design of test equipment for verification campaigns of our battery management system (BMS) hardware and firmware. This includes designing and building test infrastructure for both individual PCBAs tests and system-level integration tests focused on functional, reliability, and compliance testing. What you'll do: * Design, build, and deploy custom electrical test equipment supporting battery and ancillary hardware testing. * Develop test systems ranging from benchtop setups to fully integrated automated machines. * Architect and implement test equipment for BMS verification, including bench-level functional test setups, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems for firmware and controls algorithm verification testing, reliability test beds, and compliance/certification test beds. * Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and test operations teams to define test infrastructure requirements and translate them into practical solutions. * Specify and integrate sensors, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems into test equipment. * Contribute to the software development of test beds, including control, automation, and data acquisition functionality. * Ensure equipment designs meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards for high-power and hazardous systems. * Document test system designs, usage guidelines, and validation procedures. * Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of deployed test infrastructure. Role Description The Cell Engineering team within the Technology group at Form is multidisciplinary and focused on delivering qualified battery cell designs that meet operational performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We're hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Cell Engineering Design team in Berkeley, CA. In this role, you will design plastic components for our iron-air battery cells. There will be a particular focus on injection molded plastics, and you will take the lead on design, test plan development, and validation testing of your components. This role will work closely with our manufacturing engineering team to define and support battery cell assembly process and equipment design. You will bring a willingness to become an expert in designing plastic components for manufacturing with injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, or similar processes. You will also get hands-on experience with plastic joining methods, such as laser or hot-plate welding.
