Initiates and maintains regular contact with mothers throughout the baby's hospital stay to help support their breastfeeding experience. Provides post-discharge outpatient care and services through coordination with Family Resource Center and Outpatient Lactation Services. Serves as a clinical and education resources related to lactation or hospital co-workers. Works closely with staff to facilitate provisions of lactation support services and education throughout Mercy. Represents Mercy at community activities, outreach, and educational programs. Must have flexibility in scheduling to assure required contact with patients. Awareness of direct patient care activities for neonatal age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates patient care activities with nursing and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy, the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct. Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
Licensure: Current RN licensure with State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice or current RN temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice.
Experience: None.
Certifications: Certification as a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) must be obtained within two years of date of hire or transfer. Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Care or complete a course within their probation period.
Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Demonstrated skill in interpersonal relations and communications. Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible in routines. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit-specific physical demands. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to client requirements--will work rotating weekends and some evening shifts in Family Resource Center. Equipment use specific to unit.

Will manage co pays with cash and credit cards.
Will keep up with all pay sources to ensure they are current and correctly recorded in EMR.
Will be up to date on CNF forms and send to scanning.

1. Maintain schedule for all IST staff prescribers.
Input/print out necessary information in EMR for scheduling purposes on a daily basis.
Provide reminder phone call to client/family 24 hours prior to appointment on a daily basis.
Maintain cancellation list for filling in appointment purposes and update daily.
Discuss with the staff prescribers any time there is a change made to the schedule throughout the day.
Will be in the reception area for the first appointment of the day and stay until the last appointment has left the area or as assigned by supervisor.
2. Manage all phone calls and messages for scheduling, nurses, and staff psychiatrists.
Answer all phone calls from 8AM to 5 PM (or as assigned) Monday- Friday.
Correctly scribe and direct all messages to the necessary staff or extension as evidenced by no reported consumer/staff concerns in this area.
Triage priority of all calls throughout the day.
3. Health Care Record Maintenance/Productivity
Completes benefits portion of intake process and manages Intake Log.
Sends healthcare documents to be scanned by Medical Record staff at Children and Youth and Adult Center within two business days of receipt.
Knowledgeable in HIM/Custodian of Record procedures and chart storage locations
Enters Health Care information related to reimbursement into the Centers database accurately and within two business days of receipt, i.e. (intake documents & information.)
4. Demonstrates and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the program.

The School Based Mental Health Liaison (SBMHL) program provides direct mental health services in the Sevier County school system.
Liaisons will provide individual consultation to teachers and assist them in structuring classrooms to enhance the learning environment for children whose risk of developing an emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse problem is significantly higher than average or children who have minimal but detectable signs or symptoms foreshadowing a disorder.
Liaisons will provide training and education to teachers, school staff, and students to promote healthy learning environments.
Liaisons will work closely with families and assist in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Liaisons will also provide direct services to identified students.
Liaisons will demonstrate knowledge and competency in mental health service provision and leadership.
1. Provides all services to insure successful implementation of Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services grant.
Conducts individual, family, and group counseling.
Provides advocacy, linkage, and referral services as needed.
Provides mental health assessments and evaluations.
Participates in IEP and other school related meetings.
Provides parent, school or school staff training.
Interfaces professionally with school personnel and other agencies
Conducts group sessions with children and/or parents.
Interfaces professionally with school personnel and provides therapeutic support.
2. Maintain HRMC and CARF documentation standards
Maintains appropriate chart records that reflect both HRMC and CARF standards.
Completes all documentation in a timely manner.
Upholds center policy and procedures, and CARF standards.
Maintains adequate record keeping ensuring all grant reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
3. Meet all productivity standards
Maintain active caseload of individual therapy clients.
Completes assessments within two weeks once all paperwork is completed for school-based services.

The Role

Use the playground as an extension of the classroom; ensure the playground is safe.
Provide a balanced program of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities and opportunities for individual, small group and large group learning activities.
Eat with and assist children in eating during mealtime to teach social and self-help skills and sound nutritional practices.
Ensure that the physical needs of children are met, assisting children in health and personal habits, such as resting, brushing teeth, diapering and toilet habits.
Create ways to engage parents in the education of their children including encouraging classroom involvement and home activities.
Create an inventory of all classroom equipment and supplies annually.
Plan and conduct conferences (minimum 2) and home visits (minimum 2) or more often as needed to ensure parent/caregiver is well informed on their child's progress of development and learning, routines, activities and behavior.
Work in cooperation with Manager of Education & Inclusion to develop and document progress on professional development plan; actively engage in professional development activities to increase qualifications.
Work closely with management to ensure program compliments Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of an associate degree in child development, early childhood education or a related degree with early childhood equivalent coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit Team Leader will be responsible for engaging clients, peers, and community members in a professional and therapeutic manner.
JOB SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities include supervision of resident counselors, transportation, and peer specialist staff on the CSU.
This will involve direct clinical supervision and managing scheduling for the unit.
The Team leader will provide direct front-line and coverage on the unit.
The Team Leader will also serve as liaison with CSU Reception Center Staff in assisting with admission and discharge planning that will include coordination with transportation staff and liaisons with community agencies, ER, law enforcements, etc. for post CSU services.
Serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing treatment, rehabilitation, and support for client population.
Introduce and teach key recovery concepts through Illness Management and Recovery Groups to include Team Solutions and WRAP.
Regular attendance is an essential job function.
Due to CSU and WIC being 24 hours/7 days per week programming, the following expectation is applied to all staff working in these programs.

EmPATH will provide non-hospital facility-based services that render short-term treatment to facilitate access to services and stabilization to prevent ED and acute psychiatric hospitalization admissions.
EmPATH will provide these services to individuals who present to the program or are transferred from area EDs.
Initial admission will be on a voluntary status to adults (18 years and older) who are presenting with a mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders that are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Summary of Position:
Serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team and provides direct care through crisis services including evaluation, crisis counseling, triage, and discharge planning.
Completes intakes and supporting documentation for possible more restrictive placements, provides phone triage, and one on one therapeutic interventions with individuals admitted to EmPATH.

Working conditions consist of a 16-lounge bed unit.

The Role
Assistant Teacher assists in the instruction of preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. You will be responsible for assisting the Teacher in the general day-to-day operations of the Head Start classroom. You will assist in creating and nurturing strong partnerships with families and ensuring that instruction is consistent with best practice and of the highest level of quality, in compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Engage with children during all activities throughout the day; provide constant supervision of children during all learning activities indoors and outdoors and ensure a safe environment.
Assist in planning and conducting activities with Head Start Teacher to meet individual needs of children in accordance with the daily schedule.
Guide and facilitate activities with Head Start Teacher including classroom projects and field trips.
Maintain classroom management using developmentally appropriate techniques.â¯
Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment; interact with children one-on-one and in small groups.
Build effective relationships within the organization, the children, and their families.
Protect the safety of children by implementing active supervision techniques to ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised at any time
Work closely with management to ensure program compliments Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Serve as a liaison between staff and parents; partner with parents in the education of their children including encouraging classroom involvement and home activities.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences to discuss children's individual development and progress.
Eat with and assist children with eating at mealtime to teach social and self-help skills and sound nutritional practices.
Assist children in health and personal habits, such as resting, brushing teeth and toilet habits.
Assist the Head Start Teacher in record keeping; conduct and document observations, assessments and screenings.
Participate in staff meetings, committees, and training sessions.
Assist in the mobilization and documentation of matching in-kind activities, goods and services.
Work may require flexibility to stay until all children have left the program.
In cooperation with supervisor, develop and document progress on professional development plans.
Will be required to take the lead in the absence of a teacher.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Child Development Associate (CDA) or credential of a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential or be enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire.
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
Demonstrated knowledge of the purpose of the Head Start/Early Head Start program.
Demonstrated successful interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; ability to follow directions and take initiative.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels, including students, families, coworkers, and community members.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Head Start Teacher, other staff, parents and community partners in the provision of high-quality services to children and families.
Proven ability to keep all information on families strictly confidential.
Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and on-line client management systems.
Must participate in professional development training including basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification as required by state licensing and HSPPS
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English and other languages used by children and families).
If in North Carolina, holding a Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) Licensure preferred.

Job Summary
The Residential Specialist is responsible for partnering with foster parents and other community resources to benefit child's care, health, and safety, providing on-going assistance to parents on behavioral intervention. Assists them in developing plans to address target behaviors.
Ensuring ongoing therapy visits with child's biological parents and siblings.
Liaising with court staff to provide written documentation of therapeutic goal progress, providing information for the monthly summaries of child's progress within the placement to team leader.
Ensuring all case records are maintained in an up to date condition on a weekly basis.
Scheduling all recommended mental health interventions for child and family.
Coordination between community agencies, on-call rotation, providing transportation to clients as needed, assisting in re-matching children to a new foster parent, corresponding with DCS, attending all CFTMS and court, documentation in TFACTS, and completing monthly summaries.
Due to the diversity of job responsibilities, this position requires flexibility in scheduling.

1. Productivity
Maintains a Level 3 Caseload and provides Residential Services for Level 3 clients.
Conducts visits according to Provider and Policy Manual.
Assist nurse in setting up appointments for basic health needs for each client (eye, dental, EPSDT).
Sees clients weekly for check-ins and document in TFACTS.
Assist with treatment planning.
2. Quality Care
Participates in weekend on-call rotation.
Participates in the On call Rotation- on a weekly basis as scheduled by the Program Coordinator (and includes all holiday scheduling).
Returns emergency calls within 15 minutes of receiving call.
Updates the emergency contact book upon admission of new client or change in client status.
Complete the Casey Life Skills assessment for any new admission
For runaways or hospitalization, contacts DCS and Central Office immediately via provided on-call numbers and voice mail regardless of time of day. Logged on serious incident report. Also notify the program and services coordinator to ensure neighborhood alerts are sent.
Be responsible for covering shifts when staff call out ( If you are unable to reach PRN staff, you are responsible for covering)
Effectively works toward permanency for each client.
Partners with Child and Family team to meet performance based contracting goals.
Be present at all important meetings (court, IEP, supervised visits).
Requests and is present at appointed CFTM intervals (admit, discharge, rematch, etc.)
Links child to community resources (i.e., therapy, A & D needs, Independent Living).
Mediates supervised visits between child and biological parent(s)/guardian when applicable.
Includes biological parent in all treatment planning.
Communicates with DCS worker a minimum of one time per month.
Provides/arranges transportation of clients to/from all appointments.
Ensures that client is supervised at all times; an adult is present with client during any appointment and/or meeting. Child is never unaccompanied.
Arranges respite for clients whenever necessary.
3. Administrative
Completes all required clinical documentation in accordance with Center Policy and Procedure and funding source guidelines.
Assists with comprehensive treatment plan with first 72 hours of admit with all appropriate signatures.
Assists with all Quarterly Treatment Plans every 3 months on each client with all appropriate signatures provided.
Completes Discharge Plan 45 days prior to discharging from the Program when applicable.
Completes opening paperwork (releases, consents, sex abuse packet, program rules, etc.) at intake anytime this is needed.
Completes Progress notes within P&P guidelines.
Completes monthly summaries by the 5th of the month.
Returns required documentation to appropriate administrative personnel as required by TFACTS (includes Foster Home Checklists, Contracts, admit/discharge confirmations, census reports, job requests).
Complete and fax Serious Incident Reports within 24 hours to all necessary individuals at DCS or within the compliance department.
Completes 15 hours of training each year.
Is an effective Team Member
Responds to all emails and voicemails within 2 business days.
Attends and is on time for mandatory tx team meeting weekly.
Participates in staff development activities as requested by supervisor.
Participates in supervision with immediate supervisor.
Takes on additional responsibilities when asked (extra clients, covers co-workers caseloads, committees, etc.).
Covers floor to ensure staff to child ratios as needed for coverage.
COMPENSATION:
Starting salary for this position is approximately $19.15/hr based on relevant experience and education.
QUALIFICATIONS - Katie Miller Residential Specialist
Experience:
