Installs, repairs and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring and other electrical system equipment and components with electrical codes, standards and regulations for low and high voltage service and equipment
Studies and prepares plans, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations
Responsible for procurement of materials and tools required for project completion
Meets and discusses with City Inspectors to review code requirements
Designates field assignments and mentors Electrician Apprentice position
Ensures job is completed within code requirements in a precise and timely manner
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED. Technical School Training preferred. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards and regulations.
3 years of job related experience.
Ability to make good sound decisions.
Functional computer skills and knowledge of various building components.
Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, meters and test lamps.
Ability to read, draw and interpret electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and HVAC schematics, one line diagrams and control sequence of operations.
Good verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
Texas Driver License.
Texas Electrician Apprentice License.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications

Verifies, analyzes and indexes mass filings of attorney general documents. Answers incoming telephone calls and assists and responds to public, attorney or County inquiries or directs to appropriate person.
Calculates and collects costs of court and monetary transactions associated with criminal cases according to the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
Researches monetary transactions and calculates percentages reimbursed by State agencies to determine fees owed in a civil law suit involving multiple case parties.
Issues Bill of Cost to collect outstanding fees and to outline complex costs awarded per court judgment.
Issues and tracks summons, subpoenas, citations, warrants, writs, restraining orders, protective orders, notices and other documents as prescribed by law and at the direction of the requesting party, and as ordered by the District Court and Court of Appeals and responds to questions from public regarding these documents.
Prepares and scans documents with efficiency and attention to detail.
Supports and assists department staff as needed.
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED; Sixty (60) hours of college level coursework required and eligible to receive college credit hours through their University's Academic "Internship" Program.

Good computer and data entry skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite preferred. Good math and typing skills (minimum 40 WPM).

The Police Officer Trainee (Non-Certified) is responsible for receiving Victoria Police Department pre-academy training and Police Academy training and completing qualifications to obtain a peace officer certification through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Police Officer Trainee (Non-Certified) will be exposed to physical stress and exertion in the Police Academy. Police Officer Trainee (Non-Certified) will be exposed to possibly dangerous criminals on an ongoing basis after completion of the Academy. Cadet must work in seasonal temperatures and may be exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals and diseases. Sufficient physical ability and stamina to bend, run, lift and crawl into small spaces and to restrain suspects. May ride patrol in either a patrol vehicle, bicycle, or on a motorcycle. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle at high speeds during emergencies. Ability to lift 35-40 pounds frequently, up to 70 pounds occasionally, and to pull or drag up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, co-peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Ability to read and interpret assignments, policies, ordinances, state laws, reports, and updates regarding criminal activity. Ability to communicate knowledge and ideas in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in written form. Ability to obtain skill in the use of firearms and other related law enforcement equipment. Knowledge of computers and typing skills.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification:
Twenty-one (21) years of age or over. High school diploma; OR, GED. Able to successfully meet the admission requirements for the Police Academy, including the minimum physical ability entrance requirements. This is a 10 week paid summer law clerk position for those who will have completed some of their course work from an ABA-accredited law school and thus considered a strong 1L, or 2L or recent graduate by the beginning of Summer 2026. This position is supervised by the Deputy City Attorney for the nine-person, in-house legal counsel for the City of College Station, population approximately 120,000. The clerk will have opportunity to work with various attorneys and paralegals in the office depending on the project or work assignment. This is an opportunity to gain insight into public law and what it's like to be in-house legal counsel for a public entity.
The City Attorney will sponsor the hired applicant for their State Bar of Texas Supervised Practice Card.
General Municipal Law Practice. This includes real estate, contracts, employment and other general law areas. The law clerk may assist in title review, preparation of deeds and related real estate documents, organization of documents for various transactions, proofreading of contracts, and researching legal issues related to these matters.
Prosecution. The law clerk may assist the City Attorney's Office in municipal court prosecution of Class C misdemeanors. Work may include preparation and review of complaints, assisting in processing plea bargains and similar matters, and conducting legal research. Criminal cases prosecuted include traffic laws, City ordinance violations, DOC noise complaints, dangerous dogs, and class C assaults.
