Job Description
The Director, Global Product Compliance & Lab Services is responsible for the development and execution of strategies necessary to ensure all products meet specified certifications and fully comply with regional legal requirements. This role is also responsible for all testing and prototyping laboratories to ensure that Fortune Brands Innovations has the infrastructure, capacity, and capability necessary to execute testing and prototyping accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Develop and gain alignment on the Objective, Goals and Strategies required to establish Centers of Excellence for Product Compliance & Lab Services for Fortune Brands Innovations.
Partner with the Strategic Business Units and Operations to identify and execute against key Product Compliance and Lab Services related strategies and tactics. Identify key capabilities needed to achieve the strategies.
Accountable for the execution of the Product Compliance & Lab Services teams and ensuring they meet aggressive timing, performance, cost and quality objectives. Responsible for monitoring and measuring the performance of the teams against the defined objectives and providing regular cadence of updates to the Product Development Services leadership team.
Establish and manage global Product Compliance and Lab Services budgets.
Responsible for attracting, developing, and maintaining the Product Compliance and Lab talent needed to successfully execute the product development strategies.
Serve as a key member of FBIN's Product Development Services leadership team to improve consistency of global execution, increase resource flexibility, improve development velocity, drive efficiencies, and maximize value creation.
Lead major change management initiatives. Identify and lead process, system, organizational, and productivity improvements in Product Compliance and Lab Services. Develop standard work and processes for the Product Compliance & Lab Services teams.
Develop and implement world class testing and prototyping standards, systems, and programs.
Provides governance to Engineering Project Teams as they work to meet Product Compliance related deliverables and milestones within the FBIN Product Growth Engine (product development Stage-Gate) process.
Develop subject matter expertise of product standards, codes, and regional legal requirements for FBIN products in all global markets where FBIN operates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required; MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible positions in design and development of consumer durable products, with specific exposure to both the commercial and operations aspects of the business; global business environments preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Compliance, Test Lab Supervision, and/or Product Development Engineering.
Proven and trusted partner of senior leaders with ability to influence strategic direction and approach.
Ability to effectively manage change and complex organizational projects, navigate and influence others in a matrixed environment (management experience preferred), deliver tough messages and resolve conflict.
Demonstrated success assessing and managing risk in complex and ambiguous situations.

The Coating Operator is assigned to work on a coating line and may work in one or more workstations including the face unwind, liner unwind, die, main console/winder, and quality lab. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Coating Operator
Load raw material into the machine and unload the finished product.
Determine and control the machine cycle varying and modifying as necessary.
Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against not readily measurable standards.
Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
An individual contributor that leads product development engineering teams on assigned projects from concept to production. Provide engineering support and technical assistance to all engineering customers, both internal and external.
Leads teams of engineers to develop products.
Plans and steers the technical development of products.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering is required (BSME).
A minimum of 8 years of experience to include significant manufacturing exposure as well as product development experience is required.
Experience with International suppliers is preferred.
Fluent in the use of 3-D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and PC's.
Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
Ability to effectively work with suppliers from different countries / cultures.
Written and verbal communication skills for dealing with multiple levels of staff, customers and suppliers.
Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin are beneficial but optional.

The Industrial Design Product Specialist - CMF Focus plays a critical role in shaping the visual and tactile experience of MasterBrand products through strategic development of color, material, and finish. This role supports new product innovation and the product development funnel, translating design intent into technical specifications and vendor partnerships. The Floating Operator is assigned to work on a variety of tasks throughout the Reflective plant including but not limited to Material Handling, R1, R2, Finishing, Metalizer, Inks and Shipping/Receiving as the primary responsibility. The Floating Operator will support the team in providing flexibility across all areas of the operation to meet production and customer demand.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Float on a daily basis to fill vacant positions across the plant to ensure operation is able to run at scheduled capacity.

Perform all duties associated with the OTM III roles within the departments stated above:
Load raw material into the machine and unload the product.
Determine and control the machine cycle varying and modifying as necessary.
Perform tests and check product routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against not readily measurable standards.
Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
Attend, participate, log and track all required training.
Understand and implement the quality standard procedures that relate to the role and responsibilities of each work cell & department.
