Forum One is looking for a Director of Data & Analytics in Arlington, VA. The Director of Data & Analytics leads and grows the Data Management & Analytics services that Forum One provides to our clients.The Director is responsible for promoting and pitching our Data & Analytics services within Forum One and externally, as well as defining the methods and processes our team of analysts and technical experts use to deliver these services.
What you'll do:

* Lead data literacy and communication efforts across the company and with clients
* Serve as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending appropriate analytical approaches and methodologies for client projects
* Lead client and team discovery meetings, uncovering needs and requirements, and assemble clear strategies for data collection, analytics implementation and reporting
* Lead improvements to internal business intelligence infrastructure, data entry and management practices

* Manage a team of Data Analysts and manage staff performance, providing guidance, assistance and direction.

What you bring to the table:

* Bachelor's Degree
* 7+ years experience in data management, digital analytics, or related field
* Proven ability to interact with clients, manage expectations, and communicate persuasively
* Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
* Proficiency in SQL
* Experience working with relational databases
* Familiar with concepts of database design
* Familiarity with Python or R
* Staff management experience

* Familiarity or some experience working with Redshift, BigQuery or Snowflake for data warehousing

The Team

Forum Communications Printing-Detroit Lakes is part of the commercial print division of Forum Communications Company. Our specific location specializes in printing newspapers, magazines, periodicals and tabloids. We are located in Detroit Lakes, MN. As our name implies, this is lake country. We have more than 400 lakes within 25 miles of Detroit Lakes in northwest Minnesota. We have openings for Mailroom Support on our production teams. This position will promote a teamwork environment by assisting in the assembly and preparation of newspapers for distribution..

Responsibilities include:

  • Repair bundles of printed matter and place/stack on pallets.
  • Operate electric floor jack to move skids of printed material.
  • Operate plastic strapping machine.
  • Assist in staging mailroom equipment before production runs.
  • Load various feed stations on the inserting machine. Occasionally insert by hand.
  • Stack down/palletize products as they are coming off inserting machines.
  • Prepare minimum bundle sizes and bag mail.
  • Count and top bundles on conveyor lines.
  • Responsible for general maintenance and housekeeping of work area.
  • Abide by all OSHA regulations and other established company safety policies.

Requirements:

  • No prior experience or training.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Mechanical skills and computer knowledge preferred.
